Mark: You and your compatriots on P2P view the world from revisionism. Go ahead and keep looking through your microscope-provided by your "teachers." Or take the time and read some very old documented evidence available at a library near you= but you may need to stay there awhile on microfiche. -----Original Message----- From: Mark Janssen Sent: Sunday, October 23, 2011 4:39 PM To: P2P Foundation mailing list Subject: Re: [P2P-F] Fw: Info On Sun, Oct 23, 2011 at 10:32 AM, Natalie Golovin <10natalie(a)cox.net> wrote: > The European Tribes treated the Natives no worse than they treated each > other. Whoa. You should really stop talking. You have NO idea what you're talking about. How about forced acculturation, not allowing them to speak their own language (which hold the record of their own history), confined them under threat of violent force into reservations, among other things. But, really, that's probably not even the worst of it -- the worst of it is that for reasons they couldn't ever understand is why you were doing all of these cruel things when they were willing to share it it all with you. Why, when they handed out their hand to be friends, you chopped it off. Remember, they're the ones who gave us Thanksgiving which is still "celebrated" in this nation today. Read the reports made of making first contact with the Native peoples here. You really should read up before propagating the attitudes of conquest. Sorry.... marcos _______________________________________________ P2P Foundation - Mailing list http://www.p2pfoundation.net https://lists.ourproject.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/p2p-foundation

In addition, the event will deal with innovative measures to differentiate digital platforms which are not built on truly collaborative models. On the other hand, a program addressed to all actors of the Sharing Ecosystem (city governments, companies, foundations, networks, and research centers) will take place on November 12th afternoon on a public meet up, and on November 13th-15th as part of the Smart City World Congress Expo. In his main stage talk, he introduced the concept of the blameless postmortem: knowing that software systems get increasingly complex over time, and acknowledging that complex systems fail, we must have a way of responding to those failures that leads to learning and continuous improvement. I had the opportunity hear more from John and think about how to turn accidents into real investments in the future. Read on to learn: - How to actively steer people away from explanations and remediations, and focus on learning by mining for descriptive details around the key junctures in the incident timeline. - The importance of re-introducing the purpose and guidelines of the meeting every time you start one. - How postmortem facilitation is a practice, and like with any other practice, training and repetition are key. We saw this with the Model 3 getting improved suspension, wind noise, and back seats from the earliest versions.” -Seeking Alpha* *Warmly, and with respect for your work, Joe Justice. A misleading license
by Steve Ediger 23 Aug '18

The so-called "Commons Clause" license(promoted by Kevin Wang), as Drew Devault reads it, could mean the end of open source software. He seems to be making a good point. I'm not sufficiently knowledgeable about licensing to fully understand the implications of the "Commons Clause" license, but on first read it's a pretty drastic departure from classic open source licensing. Neither seems to be aware of p2p efforts in peer production, etc. licensing. Could any of you working on licensing frameworks pick this up? https://drewdevault.com/2018/08/22/Commons-clause-will-destroy-open-source.…
