Mark: You and your compatriots on P2P view the world from revisionism. Go ahead and keep looking through your microscope-provided by your "teachers." Or take the time and read some very old documented evidence available at a library near you= but you may need to stay there awhile on microfiche. -----Original Message----- From: Mark Janssen Sent: Sunday, October 23, 2011 4:39 PM To: P2P Foundation mailing list Subject: Re: [P2P-F] Fw: Info On Sun, Oct 23, 2011 at 10:32 AM, Natalie Golovin <10natalie(a)cox.net> wrote: > The European Tribes treated the Natives no worse than they treated each > other. Whoa. You should really stop talking. You have NO idea what you're talking about. How about forced acculturation, not allowing them to speak their own language (which hold the record of their own history), confined them under threat of violent force into reservations, among other things. But, really, that's probably not even the worst of it -- the worst of it is that for reasons they couldn't ever understand is why you were doing all of these cruel things when they were willing to share it it all with you. Why, when they handed out their hand to be friends, you chopped it off. Remember, they're the ones who gave us Thanksgiving which is still "celebrated" in this nation today. Read the reports made of making first contact with the Native peoples here. You really should read up before propagating the attitudes of conquest. Sorry.... marcos _______________________________________________ P2P Foundation - Mailing list http://www.p2pfoundation.net https://lists.ourproject.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/p2p-foundation

wow, what synchronicity, I am very enthusiastic indeed about their vision, which you have yourself beautifully formulated! here a copy of their emails mentioned in the report, if you connect with them, thanks for mentioning my interest for getting in touch as well, see here for the emails: - Lorenza Victoria Salati <https://wiki.p2pfoundation.net/Lorenza_Victoria_Salati> holds a masters degree in Political Sciences (with focus on economic history and visual anthropology) and a specialisation at the School of Cinema and New Media of Milan. She has developed methods derived using visual anthropology as a support to the self-perception of individuals as change makers. Lorenza was formerly a documentary filmmaker and explored agricultural and ethnic issues in Africa (Burkina Faso, Mozambique, Senegal). Since then she has been considering the new communication needs that have arisen from the opportunities offered by the Web 3.0. She has also investigated new forms of expression and innovative methods of storytelling. She has made many documentaries and is the co-author of several books. Lorenza is the co-founder of the Italian firm Osun WES and is the co-owner of a German based company specialising in technological tools to support collaborative projects. She is one of the founders and vice-president of R84 Multifactory Mantova." Email: lorenza(a)osunwes.eu - Giulio Focardi <https://wiki.p2pfoundation.net/Giulio_Focardi> holds a masters degree in Economic History and his main topics of professional and research interest are in the fields of Community Economy, Collaborative Economy and Social Economy. He promotes urban regeneration through the creation of value chains by developing local projects involving micro-enterprises, artisans, artists and cultural managers. He has worked as a consultant, mostly in the HR, strategic development, and multidimensional planning. He has developed various mathematical models of social systems and is the co-author of several books. His working method starts from the systemic analysis of situations, developing intervention models through a trace-back process, starting from the phenomena to reaching to the causes. Since 2009 he has been interested in researching organisational models that contribute to guaranteeing artists economic sustainability and, at the same time, freedom to research and experiment. Fwd: Radical Pessimism plus Utopian Action Plan
by Michel Bauwens 12 Jan '20

12 Jan '20

---------- Forwarded message --------- From: Daniel Pinchbeck <daniel(a)pinchbeck.io> Date: Sat, Jan 11, 2020 at 9:44 PM Subject: Radical Pessimism plus Utopian Action Plan To: <michel(a)p2pfoundation.net> What do we do now? What do we do now? Radical Pessimism Plus Utopian Action Plan In my new book, *2012 Revisited*, I try to face our situation honestly. To do this, I had to reconsider many of the esoteric ideas I wrote about in *2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl* <https://danielpinchbeck.us7.list-manage.com/track/click?u=3ca3862889fa9a480…>(2006) These included ideas from Terence McKenna, Jose Arguelles, Graham Hancock, and so on. Back then, I fully acknowledged the threat of ecological catastrophe. Yet I hoped humanity would rally to embrace indigenous design principles. I thought we would see a global movement to prevent the worst outcomes and launch an antidote to hyper-consumerism. I held out hopes for the tech community — a younger echelon of wealth holders who made their fortunes connecting the world via virtual networks. Some of them explore their consciousness through ayahuasca and so on. I thought they might use their genius to re-organize society around a regenerative model. Instead, most of them embraced the Singularity ideology of Ray Kurzweil, along with self-serving Libertarian or Neoliberal political views. When I wrote *2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl* <https://danielpinchbeck.us7.list-manage.com/track/click?u=3ca3862889fa9a480…>, I was already concerned about the evangelical desire to accelerate Apocalypse. Now things are far worse. It turns out a huge contingent of self-righteous maniacs believe that Trump was sent by God to accelerate the "end of the world." As Newsweek reports <https://danielpinchbeck.us7.list-manage.com/track/click?u=3ca3862889fa9a480…>, "Evangelical Christians overwhelmingly support President Donald Trump because they believe he'll cause the world to end." That is a tough position to reason with. I still hold out faint hopes for a psychic transmutation that might change the world in some fundamental, quantum-leap kind of a way. For the documentary *2012: Time for Change* <https://danielpinchbeck.us7.list-manage.com/track/click?u=3ca3862889fa9a480…>, we interviewed visionaries like the late Barbara Marx Hubbard who promoted "conscious evolution" and psychic researcher Dean Radin, who instigated the Global Consciousness Project at Princeton University. However in *2012 Revisited*, I also take seriously the counter-proposal of Julius Evola, who thought we are simply descending deeper into Kali Yuga, the dark age ending with total destruction. He sees this as an inevitable cylical process which all authentic esoteric traditions recognized. There will be a "Golden Age" again — but outside of historical time as we currently experience it. Evola is a complex figure who has been picked up by the Far Right, but that doesn't make him wrong. In my new book, I consider what happens to us if we think human extinction is possible, or even probable, soon. Once past the stages of bargaining and despair, it can be strangely liberating. It still leaves us with the question of how to use our time and resources now. Tenderness, gentleness, and love are probably great ideas. Also, perhaps the over-arching menace can inspire us to seek "enlightenment" or "realization" or "liberation," as the esoteric traditions define it, in an accelerated and disciplined way. That seems worth a shot in any case. Given the severity of the situation, we may as well explore the mystery of consciousness and existence to its ultimate depths. Of course I am still on board to be part of any legitimate, last-minute effort to "save the world." I have many plans, theories, and strategies ready for marshaling a counter-movement to transform our current system and salvage our planet from the destructive forces of imperialism, Capitalism, neo-Fascism, Fundamentalism, etcetera. My 2017 book, *How Soon Is Now <https://danielpinchbeck.us7.list-manage.com/track/click?u=3ca3862889fa9a480…>*, put together an action plan. The Regenerative Societies Wiki <https://danielpinchbeck.us7.list-manage.com/track/click?u=3ca3862889fa9a480…> offers a systemic approach. Here is one example of a potentially world-saving idea: As Newsweek notes: "Jerusalem has a central role as the city of prophecy and the place where the end of times plays out. According to the prophecy, a 1,000-year period of peace must be followed by seven years of tribulation, during which wars, disease, and natural disasters will lay waste to the earth. In the book of Revelation, Israel is described as a nation that exists during the time of tribulation, and Jerusalem's Jewish temple is resurrected during this period. The last temple was destroyed around 70 A.D, and today there is a mosque on the Temple Mount where the previous two temples are believed to have stood. Evangelicals believe that a unified Israel with control over Jerusalem will facilitate the construction of a new Jewish temple, and set the groundwork for the end of times." We could satisfy the prophecies and rebuild the Temple on the Mount in a peaceful way, by projecting a hologram of the Temple of Solomon on the current mosque, rather than having violent conflict around it. Perhaps I will propose some other ideas in future newsletters, in case anyone is listening. Get the new book <https://danielpinchbeck.us7.list-manage.com/track/click?u=3ca3862889fa9a480…> The Occult Control System Are "aliens" interfering with us and perhaps manipulating our timelines? This short book considers ETs and UFOs from an occult and metaphysical viewpoint. ---------- Forwarded message --------- From: Platform Cooperativism Consortium at The New School < info(a)platform.coop> Date: Tue, Jan 7, 2020 at 1:09 AM Subject: The Year in Platform Cooperatives To: <michelsub2004(a)gmail.com> A newsletter about the Cooperative Digital Economy [image: Cooperatives, Digitally: A Newsletter by the Platform Cooperativism Consortium] *January 06, 2020* *by Trebor Scholz* *The Year in Platform Cooperatives* With this Year in Review, we inaugurate a periodic newsletter updating you on the cooperative digital economy. We’ll share practical and theoretical insights situated in their political contexts -- from research papers, news articles, and podcasts, to emerging projects, events, and job opportunities. This has been a significant year for the cooperative digital economy. In this age of pessimism, we need bold near-term alternatives such as digital cooperatives that build a more democratic future with shared prosperity. Newcomers to this community might not know much about *“platform cooperatives <https://platform.us19.list-manage.com/track/click?u=f638bbafd5bc768b7aa06be…>.”* They are businesses that use a website, mobile app, or protocol to sell goods or services. Platform co-ops rely on democratic decision-making and shared ownership of the platform by workers and users. The newsletter is published by the *Platform Cooperativism Consortium (PCC) <https://platform.us19.list-manage.com/track/click?u=f638bbafd5bc768b7aa06be…>* at The New School in NYC. We are a hub that helps you research, start, grow, or convert to platform co-ops. The PCC works with hundreds of platform co-op businesses with tens of thousands of worker-owners around the world. Whether you are reading this in the Bay Area (US), Kerala (India), Emilia-Romagna (Italy), Catalonia (Spain), or elsewhere, write us with news and updates in your language at: *info(a)platform.coop <info(a)platform.coop>* All the best for the year ahead, Trebor Scholz & the PCC *Ecosystem Updates * Start.coop launched its inaugural cohort <https://platform.us19.list-manage.com/track/click?u=f638bbafd5bc768b7aa06be…> of cooperatives in 2019 and is now accepting applications for its 2020 crew. Phillip Thompson <https://platform.us19.list-manage.com/track/click?u=f638bbafd5bc768b7aa06be…> and U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand <https://platform.us19.list-manage.com/track/click?u=f638bbafd5bc768b7aa06be…> . Senator Gillibrand noted: “I was proud that my Main Street Employee Ownership Act was passed into law last year. It reforms the Small Business Administration to help retiring business owners transfer ownership to workers, consumers, and farmers. That includes co-ops, which have for too long struggled to access this very important federal assistance. I want to extend my gratitude to the Platform Cooperativism Consortium and the Institute for the Cooperative Digital Economy at The New School for all their efforts and pulling together today's event, and then leading the research that is driving new innovation in the cooperative sector.” *The Platform Co-op Development Kit* The Platform Co-op Development Kit continues to evolve and move forward as a collaboration with the Inclusive Design Research Centre. The Kit is supported by a grant from Google.org. The work ahead focuses on building an online resource library hosted on our revamped platform.coop <https://platform.us19.list-manage.com/track/click?u=f638bbafd5bc768b7aa06be…> website, and developing first iterations of share infrastructure for platform co-ops.
