Invitation to participate in round 2 of the Futures of Digital Democracy Survey (FDDS) Hello, https://digital-democracy.net/d/index.php/285954 We want to invite you to participate in the second round of an expert survey that addresses a key political topic of our time: the future of democracy in the digital age and the rise of authoritarianism. The EU research project INNOVADE: Innovative Democracy through Digitalisation https://innovade-democracy.eu/ studies digital democracy. Paderborn University’s INNOVADE research team (led by Christian Fuchs) runs the Futures of Digital Democracy Survey (FDDS): hhttps://digital-democracy.net/d/index.php/285954 In round 1, digital democracy experts assessed the opportunities and risks of digital democracy. Building on the results of round 1 and reporting some of the round 1 results, we invite you to now take part in round 2 and to reflect on the round 1 results and additional topics. The focus of round 2 is the question of how (digital) society should and could look like in 2036 - desirable and undesirable digital futures and how we can achieve desirable futures and avoid undesirable ones. Participation will take around 10 minutes: https://digital-democracy.net/d/index.php/285954 The goal of the survey is to analyse how digital media experts assess the potential futures of digital society. The datasets of both survey rounds will be published as open data in the open research repository zenodo.org INNVADE will use the results of the survey as inputs to European Union policy debates on the future of democracy. We’d be happy if you were able to participate. Below you find some links to research that INNOVADE has already conducted on the topic of digital democracy. Mark: You and your compatriots on P2P view the world from revisionism. Go ahead and keep looking through your microscope-provided by your "teachers." Or take the time and read some very old documented evidence available at a library near you= but you may need to stay there awhile on microfiche. -----Original Message----- From: Mark Janssen Sent: Sunday, October 23, 2011 4:39 PM To: P2P Foundation mailing list Subject: Re: [P2P-F] Fw: Info On Sun, Oct 23, 2011 at 10:32 AM, Natalie Golovin <10natalie(a)cox.net> wrote: > The European Tribes treated the Natives no worse than they treated each > other. Whoa. You should really stop talking. You have NO idea what you're talking about. How about forced acculturation, not allowing them to speak their own language (which hold the record of their own history), confined them under threat of violent force into reservations, among other things. But, really, that's probably not even the worst of it -- the worst of it is that for reasons they couldn't ever understand is why you were doing all of these cruel things when they were willing to share it it all with you. Why, when they handed out their hand to be friends, you chopped it off. Remember, they're the ones who gave us Thanksgiving which is still "celebrated" in this nation today. Read the reports made of making first contact with the Native peoples here. You really should read up before propagating the attitudes of conquest. Sorry.... marcos _______________________________________________ P2P Foundation - Mailing list http://www.p2pfoundation.net https://lists.ourproject.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/p2p-foundation
