Bootstrapping the First Peers of an Experimental P2P Network
by Loid Protagonist 22 Sep '26

22 Sep '26

I'm working on an experimental peer-to-peer electronic cash implementation called Queen. The current implementation supports nodes, mining, transactions and independent verification. The source code and setup instructions are publicly available, and the system can be run independently from the repository. I've tested the network with multiple local nodes. The remaining practical problem is bootstrapping the first independent peers outside my own devices. I'm interested in hearing how others have approached initial peer discovery and bootstrapping for small experimental P2P networks. I'm not looking for funding or investment. I'm simply trying to get the network communicating with nodes operated by other people. Queen Use Cash First Experiment
by Loid Protagonist 14 Sep '26

Hello, I’m conducting a small experiment with Queen. The question is simple: What happens when a newly mined coin is used before anyone assigns an initial value to it? For this experiment: - Block reward: 1 Queen - Decimal precision: 8 decimal places - Initial value: not defined - No exchange rate is set - No investors are being sought - No financial return is promised - No one is required to accept Queen I am not assigning an initial value to Queen. Anyone who is interested can voluntarily decide what they would consider a fair exchange. For this first experiment, I am also not asking for the goods or property being offered. The idea is simply that two people voluntarily agree to make a transaction using Queen. If you have something you would be willing to offer for Queen, make an offer. If we both agree, we make the transaction. The item or property you offer remains yours. The agreement and the transaction are what matter. Once a transaction is submitted, it can be observed using View_mempool.py while pending, and later verified on-chain after confirmation. There is no predefined price. If nobody is interested, nobody makes an offer, or no transaction takes place, that is also a valid result of the experiment. Use cash first. Price later. From Shells to Peer-to-Peer
by Loid Protagonist 06 Sep '26

Long ago: Shells → witness → fish Then: Banking → gold → money → banking And later, it became more complicated: Banking → banker → money → government → app → money → market → app → courier → app → user → money → app → banker → banking Today: Peer-to-peer. Why has moving value from one person to another become so complicated? Sometimes we have solutions, but we also create new obstacles. Perhaps the challenge is not only creating new forms of money, but making value move directly from value to value, without requiring a trusted third party. A street note.Loid Protagonist Dikirim dengan email aman [Proton Mail](https://proton.me/mail/home).

Queen Open Source Electronic Cash
by Loid Protagonist 02 Sep '26

02 Sep '26

Hello, I am developing Queen, an experimental open-source peer-to-peer electronic cash system. The project explores a simple blockchain-based electronic cash system without a trusted third party, with the node, wallet, transactions, mining, and blockchain implemented as open-source software. GitHub: https://github.com/loidprotagonist/Queen Whitepaper: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nfD79S52X1nFtw4q8Y4oMiYYc8eOF912/view?usp=… Queen is still experimental and is not intended to be production-ready software. I am sharing it primarily as an independent experiment and would greatly appreciate any feedback or discussion from the P2P community. Best regards,Loid Protagonist Dikirim dengan email aman [Proton Mail](https://proton.me/mail/home).
