A Short "Ad" on the Facebook Site on the St. Pauls Institute...

My evolving project online offers a very powerful new way of thinking known as Transfinancial Economics that is slowly gaining some credence. But it requires a paradigm shift in understanding. TFE goes beyond the Tobin Tax which is unnecessary when sufficient new non-repayable money (essentially electronic data in the main) could be created electronically, and responsibly at the press of the button via a transparent, and credible funding mechanism. Socially unacceptable? No, if huge socio-economic, and environmentally unsustainable issues are at stake...Funny money? No, banks create it ex nihilo already but as repayable loans irrespective of whether they are largely backed up, or not..... See my project for more details...... http://www.p2pfoundation.net/Transfinancial_Economics

Petitions : "We the People" on WhiteHouse.gov
by Dante-Gabryell Monson 01 Nov '11

01 Nov '11

https://wwws.whitehouse.gov/petitions I hear the threshold is at least 25 000 people, as to get an official response... // *"Welcome to We the People on WhiteHouse.gov. This tool provides you with a new way to petition the Obama Administration to take action on a range of important issues facing our country. If a petition gets enough support, White House staff will review it, ensure it’s sent to the appropriate policy experts, and issue an official response."* https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MdcotOjqnVI *"If a petition meets the signature threshold, it will be reviewed by the Administration and an official response will be issued. And we’ll make sure that the petition is sent to the appropriate policy makers in the Administration."*

A WOW from Ellen Brown...
by robert searle 01 Nov '11

01 Nov '11

Dear All, I just received an email the other day by Ellen Brown. authoress of the Web of Debt. It began with WOW as the content of my post just happened to synchronize with an article she was just going to write about fractional reserve banking as probably not being the system used in credit creation by banks. She connected this issue with Kucinichs NEEDS Act, and with AMI which notably popularised FRB. To help her I sent some links which I hope she will use from Steve Keen, and Chris Cook..She seems now to agree totally with them that banks when they create a loan quickly back it up with loaned money notably coming from other banks, and the Central Bank unlike FRB ... http://www.atimes.com/atimes/Global_Economy/MG27Dj02.html http://www.atimes.com/atimes/Global_Economy/MH04Dj02.html http://www.nakedcapitalism.com/2009/02/steve-keen-roving-cavaliers-of-credi…

Re: [P2P-F] new article

thanks Matthew, I tweeted/facebooked your article! "When a project takes on venture capital or sells shares, it becomes obliged to maximise the returns on investment, which means a national, or city by city marketing campaign, in hope of establishing monopoly. The progressive intentions of the founders of Nextdoor<https://nextdoor.com/about_us/>to build community are utterly incidental to the imperatives imposed by capital. Until a monopoly emerges, the usual venture capital model of building a technology - trying to build the biggest silo, is actually counter to the stated aims of these community building sites. And once the monopoly is established and the alternatives diminished, the users can do little to prevent abuses."
