Fwd: Support our Cargobike & local food distribution hub in Budapest

hi kevin, thanks for publishing their appeal on our blog, Michel ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Vincent Liegey <vliegey(a)gmail.com> Date: Thu, May 7, 2015 at 12:40 AM Subject: Support our Cargobike & local food distribution hub in Budapest To: *Dear All,* *Please help us to share and support our **crowdfunding campaign* <https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/cargobike-local-food-distribution-hub-bu…> *:* Video: Cargobike & local food distribution hub - Budapest <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2kZPJ9lB7dA> *Thanks,* *Cargonomiawww.cargonomia.hu <http://www.cargonomia.hu>* *Center for sustainable urban logistical solutions and local food distribution by cargobike* <http://cargonomia.hu/who-we-are/?lang=en>Cargonomia <http://cargonomia.hu/?lang=en> is the formalisation of a pre-existing cooperation between three socially and environmentally conscious small enterprises operating in or near Budapest. Partners within the project include Cyclonomia <http://cyclonomia.org/> Do it Yourself Bicycle Social Cooperative, Zsamboki Biokert <http://www.zsambokibiokert.hu/#!home/coqo>, an organic vegetable farm and sustainable agriculture community education center which distributes weekly vegetable boxes to food communities in Budapest, and Kantaa <http://www.kantaa.hu/>, a self organized bike messenger and delivery company. Cargonomia <http://cargonomia.hu/who-we-are/?lang=en>is the crossover point between the activities of the partners involved in the project (sustainable food production, promotion of low carbon transport solutions, bicycle competency advocacy) and aims to serve as a hub in the city center which can combine the complementary skills of each partner and their existing networks to have greater benefit within the community. Based on the principles of sustainability and fair trade, a primary goal is to increase access to locally produced products by promoting direct trade from local producers to consumer communities who are seeking healthy and environmentally conscious food options. Through the cooperation food products will be distributed to customer-partners throughout the city using locally manufactured cargo bikes. In addition to the direct marketing of local food products, Cargonomia <http://cargonomia.hu/?lang=en>is also a logistics center for sustainable urban transport solutions where community members can borrow, rent and buy our locally manufactured cargobikes. We are also an open space for community activities which focus on sustainable transitions, conviviality and Degrowth <http://www.projet-decroissance.net/?cat=35>. We host DiY and self-sufficiency building workshops, discussions and also cultural events which seek to implement synergies between new and existing social and environmental outreach projects. Cargonomia and its partner’s activities aim to display how environmentally friendly and equity based partnerships can create sustainable and meaningful community empowerment opportunities which offer concrete alternatives to standard profit-driven social and economic systems. *We are requesting your support for:* - Four new long john cargobikes which will be hand crafted at Cyclonomia in Budapest. - Two electric engines to assist bike deliveries in hilly areas in the city. - One prototype hand-made, human powered salad spinner for our partner Zsambok's Organic Garden. - Additional materials to develop our facilities for transporting and storing vegetables and breads. *In a difficult economic context, Cargonomia and its partner created more than 20 local and sustainable jobs in Budapest region.Your support would help us and our partners to serenely keep going.* *Thanks for sharing and supporting our Budapest Cargobike & local food distribution hub campaign.* Find This Campaign On Facebook <https://www.facebook.com/cargonomia> Twitter <https://twitter.com/Cargonomia> YouTube <https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCzrXruEW7CPdf-HDI8kCG8A> Website <http://cargonomia.hu/?lang=en> -- Check out the Commons Transition Plan here at: http://commonstransition.org P2P Foundation: http://p2pfoundation.net - http://blog.p2pfoundation.net <http://lists.ourproject.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/p2p-foundation>Updates: http://twitter.com/mbauwens; http://www.facebook.com/mbauwens #82 on the (En)Rich list: http://enrichlist.org/the-complete-list/

Fwd: The "Send Metta" App is ready to be tested

---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Steven Vedro <dharma(a)srvedro.com> Date: Thu, May 7, 2015 at 8:52 AM Subject: The "Send Metta" App is ready to be tested To: Steven Vedro biz <steven(a)srvedro.com> “SEND METTA” VIA HEALING CIRCLE For the last three years I have been experimenting with different ways to use the Internet to raise the vibration of the *Infosphere*. I am excited to report that in cooperation with Daniel Levin of HealerSource, we now have a simple way to send and receive loving kindness and healing [METTA] around the world. Dan has created a phone app that easily allows you to send Metta to your friends, to randomly-selected members of the healing circle, and soon, to troubled places around the world. The receiver will be notified when someone is thinking of them, and can to go to the community website to see the face and location of the person who has sent them kind thoughts. Users will also be able to create their own blessing thoughts, which will be crowd-sourced reviewed, with the best ones streamed to the entire community. I truly believe that the service will promote loving kindness between strangers, sending higher vibrations across the internet and around the planet. Research has shown that giving blessings generates as much good feelings in the sender as the receiver. So, please help me get the ball rolling by downloading the APP. It’s called HealerSource (one word). You can test drive it on the web at https://www.healersource.com/healing-circle/. The Apple Store url is: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/healersource/id966154338?mt=8 The Google Play (for Android) app is at: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.healersource.www Steven Vedro, author Digital Dharma PS - If you are a healing practitioner or someone looking for a healer, check out the rest of Dan’s site as well. -- Check out the Commons Transition Plan here at: http://commonstransition.org P2P Foundation: http://p2pfoundation.net - http://blog.p2pfoundation.net <http://lists.ourproject.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/p2p-foundation>Updates: http://twitter.com/mbauwens; http://www.facebook.com/mbauwens #82 on the (En)Rich list: http://enrichlist.org/the-complete-list/

Fwd: L'Art de l'en-commun/The Art of Commoning - Printemps/Spring 2015
by Michel Bauwens 07 May '15

07 May '15

---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: alainambrosi <ambrosia(a)web.ca> Date: Thu, May 7, 2015 at 6:52 PM Subject: Fwd: L'Art de l'en-commun/The Art of Commoning - Printemps/Spring 2015 To: Michel Bauwens <michel(a)p2pfoundation.net>, Kevin Flanagan < kev.flanagan(a)gmail.com> Bonjour à tous et toutes! 1. Atelier Transformap: vers une cartographie vivante des communs /« There are Plenty of Alternatives. TransforMap makes them visible. 3. Following last autumn's event, we have continued to follow its ripple effects for other commons practitioners around the world. The Art of Commoning was notably chosen as the theme for the next summer school of the P2P foundation < http://percolab.us4.list-manage.com/track/click?u=8c5c401bf77f0723c8af7e2a3… >, taking place in the Irish ecovillage Cloughjordan from August 25 to 27, 2015.. What's coming up... Three great occasions to practise commoning. 1. Workshop 15MMM: towards a living cartography of the commons /« There are Plenty of Alternatives. TransforMap makes them visible. »/ Identify and describe the commons that surround us and put them on a map. This describes the plan for the month of May, the goal being to prototype an exercise of decentralized cartography. The activity is put forth by the TransforMap < http://percolab.us4.list-manage.com/track/click?u=8c5c401bf77f0723c8af7e2a3… > collective, an organization with working < http://percolab.us4.list-manage1.com/track/click?u=8c5c401bf77f0723c8af7e2a… >circles < http://percolab.us4.list-manage1.com/track/click?u=8c5c401bf77f0723c8af7e2a…> in which Silke Helfrich is involved. The mission of the collective is to accompany communities in the mapping of local alternatives to the conventional economic model. Several people involved in mapping and open source data met up during Silke's visit last November. Following this meeting, Transformap now invites the Commoners of Montreal to join this experiment < http://percolab.us4.list-manage.com/track/click?u=8c5c401bf77f0723c8af7e2a3… >. What does the project consist of? Identifying and localizing on a map the initiatives (workshops, shared gardens, repair cafés, community libraries etc.) that are powered by co-production, sharing and community contributions. No need to be an expert in computer mapping (great chance to learn!), your contribution may take numerous forms such as identifying commons, finding data, and sharing contacts. A meet-up is planned at ECTO (976 Mont royal est, 2nd floor) on the Friday, 8th of May in the morning to exchange, see how we can use some of our pledged hours and to identify alternatives! Long distance participation is possible via Skype or Hang out. If you won't be able to make it but wish to be kept up to date on the project developments, contact Yves Otis (yves(a)percolab.com) 2. Co-organization of a workshop during the World Assembly of the International Council of Adult Education (June 10-12, 2015) For a number of reasons we have had to postpone the second Art of Commoning event, originally planned to coincide with the world assembly of the international council of adult education (http://www.waam2015.org < http://percolab.us4.list-manage2.com/track/click?u=8c5c401bf77f0723c8af7e2a… >), organized by ICAE < http://percolab.us4.list-manage.com/track/click?u=8c5c401bf77f0723c8af7e2a3… >. There is a possibility of organizing a workshop on the Art of Commoning and education during the event. This would be an occasion to practice with both locals and international guests and to explore and contribute to the school of the Commons. Interested? Write to info(a)percolab.com <mailto:[email protected] <info(a)percolab.com>> and we'll get something going quickly! 3. Call for participation: « Le temps des communs », from October 5 to 18, 2015 « Le temps des communs », a decentralized and self-organized francophone festival is an initiative of the francophone commons network, the same organization that created the « Villes en Biens Communs », the first festival in October 2013. This time, the project aims to bring together a series of local activities during two weeks in October with the goal of raising awareness about the commons as a powerful lever in the transition towards a more sustainable world.
