open_udc - information

Where can I find information about it? I would like the original paper of TRM or a simple explanation of what it does. The three principles I have found are very vague, Time and space symmetry are vague as well. I wanted to review open_udc for a long time but I couldnt. It has nothing to do with bitcoin other than using encryption. Does it use block chain? I think not. I dont think it would be good to promote open_udc by invalidating bitcoin, except if open_udc can replace bitcoin in all its use cases. By the way, I found about it because of openpgp.js , an implementation of pgp in javascript. PGP is the future for identity authentication. -- Sincerely yours, Apostolis Xekoukoulotakis

---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Thomas Greco <thg(a)mindspring.com> Date: Sat, May 11, 2013 at 2:02 AM Subject: Spring update To: Thomas Greco <thg(a)mindspring.com> Dear friends, It’s high time for us to reclaim the *credit commons* and I need your help. I will be traveling to Europe this summer to push forward the movement toward complementary currencies and moneyless exchange, and to preach the “gospel” of decentralized credit-clearing networks. So far, I’m slated for speaking engagements, workshops, and consultations in the Netherlands, Sweden, the UK and Greece. There may be room to add other stops to the tour so if you want to organize an event, contact me and we’ll see what fits! Right now however, I need YOUR help to cover the lodging and travel costs. Please help spread the word about my Crowdfunding campaign to your networks! Share this image meme and the campaign link: http://igg.me/at/tomstour/. We have thus far received $1207 from 21 very generous donors. My sincerest thanks to everyone who’s pitched in already and to those who help me achieve this goal by pledging and sharing! Thomas P.S. obsoleteism
by boon＠metaversion.de 10 May '13

10 May '13

hey lovely peoples, i watched the share spray video and i felt like driven back 30 years, its nice and friendly but isnt it obsolete? share a tiny private garden, share old stuff, well thats great if it works on a neighbour scale, but the talks i do are really different. think about this: you have two people doing the exact same job, they live in 2 different towns, and every morning they drive to the town of the other where their job is located, in funy cases they drive back to their own towns to do a job and then back to the job place and home after....that is the unefficency of competitive buissnesses exposed. a basic income was already supposed by thomas paine, agraian justice when the usa was founded. the pirate party came up with the idea and it got shattered but...for unexpectable reasons, it wasnt ecconomists saying that wont work, afterall its the greed of people who dont want others not to suffer when they do. We all know starvation is not production based, we all know that money is just a "going thru" thingi, if ur not on the big income side. I need you peoples to think big, because i cant stand this worlds unequality and bullshit. We work for afterall nothing, face that, we have no skills and no talents to get a sharing ecconomy done from bottom to top. the hirachy is stable. So what i think we have to do is focus on the benefits of decentralization and free ressources for the basic needs. A countersource to privatization, because while you do childish approaches of middleclass backyard utopia that wont work, the waterprivatization will take place, and dolphin and shark isnt the answer as well, its like a toolset for comeptitiveness with the power of crowds that exsist. I am really looking for people who would take p2p to the next stage by introducing it where it belongs, in the consideration of the most powerful people and the people who are able to do the math needed to make need and "have" transparent and overviewable. maybe it will take some generations before people start demanding their share, but think about the possibilitys. The real possibilitys in 2 things that is social security and security by global surveilance ( for example a live google earth will show what really goes on if that is open to everyone and saved, there are no gaps for illegal exploit of any kind, everything can be taken down to its source) i want to find people to talk about this things, because i feel the insight on those things as a hard to take burden for my soul. I meet people of all social backgrounds when i do dogwalks, now the comunitys tax dogs without supporting them, its a luxary tax in germany, not binding the income to a fair use, there are no places supported where dogs can run free and in the rare cases u have those they are unsufficent and dirty, sure theres clubs do that but its the same and there is like no thought on the different sizes of dogs and the social behaviour, no referees that help to establish social behaviour of the animals, anger and stress is programmed. But if you raise this little topic you easily find agreements on the basic things, there should be zones for dogs that actually fit to the amounts of dogs in a community, they should fit to different purposes like older younger smaller and bigger dogs, and there should be help learning social behaviour....and the tax should be subject related. And no i would of course never make a club and try to fight for this because...its obsolete, a drop of water on a hot stone. like global warming, dont tell me a lot drobs cool the stone cause bottom to top will not work, the individual people have just no power to do changes, think again on the "change" campain obama won with, and afterall its just one dude and what did he "change", he cant even fight the weapon lobbys, we are ruled by puppets and not descision makers, and you maybe know im a fan of ricardo semmlers leading by omission, the point is, afterall we have nothing, nothing ladys and gentleman, but the insight in great possibiltys. I wish i could at least write and contribute this way but as you have to witness here, im no good writer, and i do hard in finding any collaboration at all, see i asked you to do virtual meetings instead of driving around, but sadly not even michel spended and hour to do a videochat with me. so am i wrong? give me some feedback if you will, i would welcome anyone from this list. Or maybe come up with other things that would or could be obsolete in a functional free society, to show the benefits of different aproaches on a larger scale. greetings daniel bauer "theboon" inactive member of pirate party germany, and unnamed "member" of well at least i have a slot on ning p2p foundation.

Fwd: 10 things Janelle has been up to this year...including 5 cartoons
by Michel Bauwens 06 May '13

---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Janelle Orsi <janelle.orsi(a)gmail.com> Date: Mon, May 6, 2013 at 8:35 PM Subject: 10 things Janelle has been up to this year...including 5 cartoons To: Janelle Orsi <janelle.orsi(a)gmail.com> Hi friends, Now and then, I accumulate a list of big things happening in my life and it occurs to me to email an update to people who have been supportive and enthusiastic along the way. That, and every now and then my organization<http://www.theselc.org/> does a big fundraising drive. So, I was thinking: If you are inspired by the list below, and if I'm helping to create the world you want to live in, would you consider making a contribution to my work by giving to the Sustainable Economies Law Center<http://www.razoo.com/story/Selc-Spring-Matching-Grant-Campaign> (SELC)? Here's what I've been up to the last year: 1. *Building a Movement to Help People Become Awesome Lawyers Without Going to Law School: *In California and a few other states, apprenticing with an attorney enables people to become lawyers without going to law school. I have two amazing apprentices <http://likelincoln.org/bios/>, and we are blogging about the process and sharing resources with other prospective apprentices at this site: The Apprenticeship Journals<http://likelincoln.org/> . 2.* Creating Resilient Communities and Bringing Legal Services Down to Earth: *Each week, I can be found giving legal advice in a cafe through SELC's new program, the Resilient Communities Legal Cafe<http://www.theselc.org/cafe/>. It's 1/3 legal advice clinic, 1/3 living classroom, and 1/3 community-building salon -- all designed to create highly accessible legal services for worker cooperatives, urban farms, car sharing programs, housing cooperatives, child care cooperatives, micro-enterprise, and other innovative projects. 3. *Made a **Cartoon to Get the World Excited About the Sharing Economy: *For years, I dreamed of making a goofy cartoon about sharing, and it's done! Check out "Share Spray <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U31BKGEZvBs>" on youtube! That's me narrating and playing guitar. 4. *Wrote a Bestselling Book about Sharing Economy Law: *The American Bar Association published my second book in August and it has been on the ABA's bestseller list ever since. Find out more about *Practicing Law in the Sharing Economy <http://www.theselc.org/book/>*. If you buy it, use this discount code for half off: PAB12SHR. All royalties go to the Sustainable Economies Law Center. If you haven't seen my first book, The Sharing Solution <http://www.sharingsolution.com/>, check that out too! 5. *Grew the Sustainable Economies Law Center and Made Cartoons About It: *The nonprofit law project I co-founded in 2009 has now grown to an organization with six incredible staff. I can't even begin to list all of the things SELC is doing, but you can find out more at our website<http://www.theselc.org/>. And here are a couple cartoons about our work: Economy Sandwich<http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LVUXiUkfQCs> and The Legal Roots of Resilience<http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2pBVWjValZ8> . 6. *Legalized Home-Based Food Enterprise: *In 2011, SELC started a project to legalize the sale of certain homemade food items in California. Thanks to the hard work of SELC staff, the California Homemade Food Act<http://www.theselc.org/cottage-food-laws/> went into effect this January. 7. *Legalizing Cooperative Housing and Making a Cartoon About That Too: *SELC co-drafted and helped to introduce legislation on cooperative housing in CA this year. AB 1024 is sailing through the legislature so far. I made a cartoon about it: Housing for an Economically Sustainable Future<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9HlDN6Yu0Gk> . 8. *Laying the Legal Foundation for Urban Agriculture and Community Farming: *SELC has introduced an a bill called the CA Neighborhood Food Act<http://www.theselc.org/homegrown/>, which will remove barriers to the sale of homegrown produce, and will remove various other barriers to urban food production. My first cartoon movie ever was about legal barriers to urban agriculture: Citylicious<http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fYUr0GKWWX8>. I also recently co-taught - in Spanish - a workshop in the CA Central Valley on legal issues for community farms. The video of that will hit youtube soon. 9. *Supporting Asian Immigrant Farmers: *I've spent a good amount of my time in the last year supporting Chinese, Hmong, and Lao farmers who are facing enormous employment law barriers to small-scale family farming. In California, thousands of small farms are operated by Asian immigrant families, and many of these farms are at high risk of being put out of business due to casual participation of family and friends in the farm work. Read more about SELC's Refugee Farmer Project here<http://www.theselc.org/work-in-the-new-economy/#REFUGEEFARMERPROJECT> . 10. *And I'm on the (En)Rich List with folks like Gandhi and the Dalai Lama: * It's kind of mind blowing to end up on a list like this, but there I am at #33 on the (En)Rich List <http://enrichlist.org/the-list/>, which "celebrates a wealth of 100 inspirational individuals whose contributions enrich paths to sustainable futures." Much of what I listed above is made possible by donations and grants, but I have to be honest that my colleagues at SELC and I have made a lot of this happen with a surprisingly small amount funding. We make every dollar count for a lot. We'll need to raise $300,000 by the end of the year to keep it all going in 2014. Anything you can contribute will keep us cranking out new laws, books, workshops, legal cafes, legal cartoons, and world-changing lawyers! Here's the link to contribute<http://www.razoo.com/story/Selc-Spring-Matching-Grant-Campaign>. You can also mail a check to the Sustainable Economies Law Center, 436 14th Street, Suite 1120, Oakland, CA 94612. Thank you so much!! A guided public conversation around the ideas of Commune, Commons and Community. Two ‘Masters of Ceremonies’ journalist Jade Lindgaard and art critic and curator Thomas Boutoux will coordinate meetings and lead the audience, or rather, the members of this temporary community, through a series of artistic, performative, and theoretical practices questioning the subject. From the Paris Commune of 1871 to the emergence of political alternative parties (the Green party in the 1980s, the Pirate parties in the 2000s) to the many citizen initiatives of today, the terms Commune, Community and Commons have been fundamental expressions of dissatisfaction towards the state of society and the res publica, the space which belongs or should belong to everyone. "Grassroots" organisational forms have taken an unexpected turn with the rise of social networks, allowing experiments in education and self-organisation that resonate with those that took place in the 60s and 70s. Back then these experiments brought about far-reaching changes, but what about now? To what extent are these movements powerful and sustainable? How has contemporary art progressively adopted them? How can we organise ourselves and create effective communities within a subculture with the unique features of the art community? how to mobilise the power of what is “common”, of what must be constantly (re)composed by dynamic, shifting communities? ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Tom Atlee <cii(a)igc.org> Date: Thu, May 2, 2013 at 7:27 PM Subject: My blog is now at TomAtleeBlog.com To: undisclosed list <cii(a)igc.org> Dear friends, Twitter has closed down Posterous.com, the former host of my blog "Random Communications from an Evolutionary Edge". We decided to make this problem into an opportunity. So Co-Intelligence Institute board member John Abbe and I have moved my blog to a new site where it has its own memorable domain name: http://www.tomatleeblog.com/ I really like the new look that we've created. You will see that more posts are now visible on the home page. There is also a tag cloud to make it easier to find what you are looking for and to give you an overview of the topics covered. The new blog contains all the posts from the previous site at Posterous and all my new posts will be found at this new site. Over 90% of my blog posts are also mailed to my list (the one you're getting this bulletin on) - and vice versa. So you can subscribe to the blog's RSS feed or simply continue to get my posts via this email list. I hope you enjoy the improved blog experience. Coheartedly, Tom PS: ANOTHER CHANGE COMING SOON: During this next week, I will start sending these email posts in a newsletter format, using one of the online newsletter services to keep up my mailing list. I want to be sure the transition goes smoothly. If you do not get an email bulletin from me by May 10, contact me. ________________________________ Tom Atlee, The Co-Intelligence Institute, POB 493, Eugene, OR 97440 site: http://www.co-intelligence.org / blog: http://tomatleeblog.com Read EMPOWERING PUBLIC WISDOM - http://empoweringpublicwisdom.us THE TAO OF DEMOCRACY - http://www.taoofdemocracy.com and REFLECTIONS ON EVOLUTIONARY ACTIVISM - http://evolutionaryactivism.com Please support our work.
