Visual mode and jumping to marks

Jumping to marks in visual mode does not seem to work e.g.

mm ;; Set a mark somewhere

Then from a different location:

v'm ;; Go to visual mode jump to mark m

I expect the region between the mark and where I entered visual mode
to be selected.

Hopefully this is an easy fix.
