duda con licencia SIL OFL
by minombresbond 01 Jul '07

la licencia OFL (open font licence), es una licencia especial para tipografias, compatible con la gpl y aprobada por la fsf segun creo, la estuve leyendo y mi ingles no es lo que se dice fluido, y no entiendo del todo, quiza en esta lista alguien me pueda ayudar a aclarar algunos puntos la licencia se puede leer aca (al final del mail hice un copy/paste) http://scripts.sil.org/cms/scripts/page.php?site_id=nrsi&item_id=OFL_web por lo que entendi, la unica diferencia con las licencia gpl, es que la version modificada no puede incluir el nombre original o usar el nombre del autor original para promoverla por otro lado, la versiones modificadas pueden utilizarse comercialmente o no? al comienzo dice "The fonts, including any derivative works, can be ... redistributed and/or sold with any software", pueden ser utilizadas comercialmente o no? es decir, por ejemplo vender un CD con fuentes o derivadas (siempre que todo se lecencie bajo la misma SIL OFL) cuando dice: "1) Neither the Font Software nor any of its individual components, in Original or Modified Versions, may be sold by itself." que significa "Neither the Font Software ... may be sold by itself"? saludos! esta es la licencia: > PREAMBLE > The goals of the Open Font License (OFL) are to stimulate worldwide > development of collaborative font projects, to support the font > creation efforts of academic and linguistic communities, and to > provide a free and open framework in which fonts may be shared and > improved in partnership with others. > The OFL allows the licensed fonts to be used, studied, modified and > redistributed freely as long as they are not sold by themselves. Scioli candidato a gobernador bonaerense? No, dice el Partido Autonomista.
by Alejandro René Fernández Blanco 30 Jun '07

by Diego Saravia 30 Jun '07

para despejar cualquier duda, sobre clasificacion triple http://www.fsfeurope.org/documents/freesoftware.es.html # The freedom to study how the program works, and adapt it to your needs. Placing legal or practical restrictions on the comprehension or modification of a program, such as mandatory purchase of special licenses, signing of a Non-Disclosure-Agreement (NDA) or - for programming languages that have multiple forms or representation - making the preferred human way of comprehending and editing a program ("source code") inaccessible also makes it proprietary (non-free). Without the freedom to modify a program, people will remain at the mercy of a single vendor. -- Diego Saravia Diego.Saravia(a)gmail.com NO FUNCIONA->dsa(a)unsa.edu.ar

sobre el término "propietario"
by Marcos Guglielmetti 30 Jun '07

30 Jun '07

-- `&' # Marcos Guglielmetti, co-director de # Musix GNU+Linux, 100% Software Libre para artistas _#_ http://www.musix.org.ar (#) / O \ + archivos: ftp://musix.ourproject.org/pub/musix ( === ) Ecología: http://autosus.wordpress.com `---' Personal: http://marcospcmusica.wordpress.com You see things; and you say 'Why?'; But I dream things that never were; and I say 'Why not?' - George Bernard Shaw

OT: Gran colgada de WindowsXP en TN
by Sebastian Bassi 30 Jun '07

30 Jun '07

by Sebastian Bassi 30 Jun '07
