Entiendo que lo que quieren hacer con GNU social es unir todas las redes 
descentralizadas que existen actualmente ¿está bien?

En tal caso, o en otro caso ... sigo pensando que Facebook y cia con fenómenos 
muy particulares que tienen mucho más que ver con otras cosas que con el 
software

Es decir, si me preguntan a mí intentaría "sacar a toda la gente de facebook", 
reemplazarlo, tal como se reemplazó Encarta por Wikipedia.

Eso es lo que me parecería bueno pero... ¡el problema es que un reemplazo 
sería algo muy similar!!!

Facebook podría correr sobre software completamente libre ¡y el problema es 
que sus usuarios seguirían brindando información que los hace objetos de 
marketing, de consumismo, de control del pensamiento!

¿Entonces cuál es la estrategia correcta?

No lo sé, pero sería quizá mejor sin facebook.
