Yes, from live-cd, it will boot 2.6.11 for now

No: there is not _for now_: you need to install Musix. By the way: the 
kernel 2.6.13-multimedia-386 it's the same from DeMuDi, but then you 
can install another new kernels from DeMuDI if you want, as instance 
2.6.14 or the next series...

I dont think it could be better than Planet CCRMA, you will have to 
install it to know about it: you can make a 2gb partition to test it, 
it's not so hard

pd: the Musix servers that hosted the 0.31 ISO are all down for now, 
there are people wanting to make a torrent with Musix 0.31 and share 
it, could yo do something with it? If you can't, forget it, i am just 
thinking in a loud way
