Are you sure that your CD/DVD device works really fine? Did you tried this CD in another PC? It would be to troublous (I mean "to bother") to burn it at 4x speed? Well, these are my advices, but I really dont know what are the problems there, sorry. Did you tried Musix in an older version? Did it worked? The isolinux booting system is the same as before, the mkisofs it's anotherone (4:2.01+01a03-5) than in the very older Musix's versions (4:2.0+a27-1), maybe that's a problem related to mkisofs version and your hardware... but I really dont know. Please, try it into another PC. -- Marcos Guglielmetti * Director del desarrollo de Musix GNU+Linux, 100% Software Libre * CD Donwload: (http://www.musix.org.ar/en/) (www.pc-musica.com.ar/musix) * Videos, programas y otras cosas en: ftp://musix.ourproject.org/pub/musix/ * Reporte de errores a: https://www.musix.org.ar/wiki/index.php?title=Problemas-Bugs *IRC: #musix channel on freenode

Multiple Sound Cards
by Sean Edwards 13 Sep '06

13 Sep '06

Last week, I bought a bundle of 5 Creative Labs CT4810 PCI 16bit SoundBlaster cards. They arrived today, and I put two of them in my Musix box. When Musix booted, ALSA detected and configured the cards right away. They also all showed up in the gnome-alsa mixer. Now I have three cards: the integrated AC '97, and two SoundBlaster 16 PCI cards. SWEET! I was dreading this, thinking I had to configure everything by hand. But thanks to Musix and ALSA, I have spent way more hours recording tonight than reconfiguring. This box is a Soyo K7VME board with a 1.1Ghz AMD processor and 384MB DDR SDRAM. Since I am not full-duplexing audio cards, I can work with multiple tracks in Audacity. Well, one recorded track and two recording. Anyway, it sound great because I don't have to full-duplex the one sound card anymore. -=cybersean=- __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! Musix con VmWare 5.5.1
by Gustavo Ibarra 13 Sep '06

¿Alguna idea? With this command, as root user: sudo ln -s /etc/X11/rgb.txt /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/ then restart X. You now can start OK: amsn, pd, cecilia and wavesurfer -- Marcos Guglielmetti * Director del desarrollo de Musix GNU+Linux, 100% Software Libre * CD Donwload: (http://www.musix.org.ar/en/) (www.pc-musica.com.ar/musix) * Videos, programas y otras cosas en: ftp://musix.ourproject.org/pub/musix/ * Reporte de errores a: https://www.musix.org.ar/wiki/index.php?title=Problemas-Bugs *IRC: #musix channel on freenode

Musix con VmWare 5.5.1

Hello, Have you tried using an IDE virtual disk? The default is SCSI and it doesn't always work correctly with some linux distros. 2GB may be a little small, though it sounds like it isn't seeing any disk at all. cheers
