24 Nov '11

Hey there, Just a quick update on Kune. Things are moving fast, and we are moving into production (that is, a functional version for normal use). At the same time: - IEPALA Foundation (Madrid) has setted up its own Kune to provide service to NGOs: http://beta.eurosur.org - Occupy Wisconsin (USA) has setted up another Kune, and they are experimenting with it. - Occupy St Luis (USA) is also interested in experimenting with Kune Please, check the blog http://kune.ourproject.org/blog/ for more updates. Cheers, -- Samer http://comunes.org "No son tiempos para hacer cualquier cosa"

[kune issues] #169: usernames and group short-names

#169: usernames and group short-names -------------------------+------------------- Reporter: samer@… | Owner: vjrj Type: enhancement | Status: new Priority: major | Milestone: Component: Group space | Version: Keywords: | Blocked By: Blocking: | -------------------------+------------------- After several tests with people, both Dario and Sara had problems when creating the username. Both were insisting to use a name with capital letters, even though they were reading the (!) error. A similar problem occurred when creating a group. I don't know how to solve this, but I have three suggestions. I would apply the three, but probably the third takes more time. Suggestion 1: * ask "Name" before "Username" in user creation. It's more intuitive. * ask "Long name" before "Short name" in group creation Suggestion 2: * In the (!) description, maybe "lowercase" should be in bold? Suggestion 3: * Maybe we can auto-generate a short-name or username based on the long- name introduced before, as a proposal that can be changed. -- Ticket URL: <http://kune.ourproject.org/issues/ticket/169> kune issues <http://kune.ourproject.org/issues/>

[kune issues] #162: Add [siteprojectprefix] to lists and posts title names

[kune issues] #154: Clicking on Documents should show index
by kune issues 19 Nov '11

#154: Clicking on Documents should show index -------------------------+------------------- Reporter: samer@… | Owner: vjrj Type: defect | Status: new Priority: major | Milestone: Component: Group space | Version: Keywords: | Blocked By: Blocking: | -------------------------+------------------- Case: If I am in the "documents" tool, I open a doc, I edit it, I finish editing, I go to blog, I edit there... and I want to come back to "documents", so I click in "documents"... and it re-opens the doc I had open. I want to go to the index and I don't know how. I click again in "documents" but it does nothing. I want to go to the index! The point is that the "go to container folder" button is not trivial to understand. The tree structure of folders down neither, especially if you are just in a doc in the main index (root folder). Proposal of solution: clicking on "documents" should take you to the index, or at least to the last folder you were, but never inside a wave. -- Ticket URL: <http://kune.ourproject.org/issues/ticket/154> kune issues <http://kune.ourproject.org/issues/>

Interesting the feedback and necessities described in: http://twitter.com/superbranch/status/136984996832485376 The n-1 analysis is very similar to some of our (personal) opinion.
