[kune issues] #208: Fix this Trac to minimize moderation

#208: Fix this Trac to minimize moderation -----------------------+------------------- Reporter: anonymous | Owner: vjrj Type: defect | Status: new Priority: major | Milestone: Component: Others | Version: Keywords: | Blocked By: Blocking: | -----------------------+------------------- This Trac has no "Sign Up" for creating an account. It was not a big deal because we just submit anonymous issues indicating the email of the user... However, now that the issues have moderation, it'd be much more confortable for the moderators to fix this Trac, allow "Sign Up", and not passing moderation to logged users. -- Ticket URL: <http://kune.ourproject.org/issues/ticket/208> kune issues <http://kune.ourproject.org/issues/>

[kune issues] #206: Metrics

#206: Metrics -------------------------+------------------- Reporter: samer@… | Owner: vjrj Type: enhancement | Status: new Priority: major | Milestone: Component: Others | Version: Keywords: | Blocked By: Blocking: | -------------------------+------------------- In the mid-term we would like to include a recommender system within Kune. We should prepare for that with some "metrics". That is, stats registering user activity (and group activity) somehow. Of course, without breaking user privacy, but there should be ways for doing so. -- Ticket URL: <http://kune.ourproject.org/issues/ticket/206> kune issues <http://kune.ourproject.org/issues/>

[kune issues] #205: Mid-term: Search for keywords

#205: Mid-term: Search for keywords -------------------------+------------------- Reporter: samer@… | Owner: vjrj Type: enhancement | Status: new Priority: minor | Milestone: Component: Group space | Version: Keywords: | Blocked By: Blocking: | -------------------------+------------------- I know it may be too early, but I have a proposal from Manu, a colleague professor from uni. We can search for groups and users (in the search bar). However, we cannot search for keywords. That is, a classical search field where I would search for "agriculture" to see the public groups dealing with that. I don't even know if we'd want one of those (Facebook/Diaspora dont have... they rely on Google or friends for finding group-pages), but it might be interesting to consider it. -- Ticket URL: <http://kune.ourproject.org/issues/ticket/205> kune issues <http://kune.ourproject.org/issues/>

The whole project where he did it is here, configured for packaging as a .deb and for an executable in Windows: http://homes.ourproject.org/~samer/++/empaquetado-deb-win.zip although the meat is in the build.xml for the ant (just search for "debian" there): http://homes.ourproject.org/~samer/++/build.xml HTH -- Ticket URL: <http://kune.ourproject.org/issues/ticket/119#comment:2> kune issues <http://kune.ourproject.org/issues/>

Fwd: WIN7 INSTALL SUMMARY
by Vicente J. Ruiz Jurado 11 Mar '12

11 Mar '12

Hi there, Attached a summary of development environment install in Window (by Tim, thanks indeed). Carmen, we shall integrate with present documentation as an appendix or similar. Many things are already integrated, I think. Anyway, here is if someone want to use now. Also I'm thinking in use of emacs org-mode to organize these files. On Tuesday I show you why... http://orgmode.org http://orgmode.org/manual/Exporting.html#Exporting Bests, Vicente -------- Mensaje original -------- Asunto: WIN7 INSTALL SUMMARY Fecha: Wed, 7 Mar 2012 22:13:52 +0000 (GMT) De: tim macpherson <tim_macpherson(a)yahoo.co.uk> Responder a: tim macpherson <tim_macpherson(a)yahoo.co.uk> Para: Vicente J. <vjrj(a)ourproject.org> Tim

Kune's calendar improvements
by Vicente J. Ruiz Jurado 09 Mar '12

09 Mar '12

Hi there: We've just updated kune.cc and kune demo with the calendar/events functionality very improved. For instance, try: http://kune.cc/?locale=es#sandbox.events (Best viewed if you are logged). Double click on events to edit then. One of the improvements, it's the possibility to export each group's calendar to other calendar apps. For instance, these are the URL of the calendar of "comunes" and "kune" groups, that you can use it in your mobile, thunderbird, or similar apps: http://kune.cc/ws/servlets/EventsServlet?token=comunes.events.312 http://kune.cc/ws/servlets/EventsServlet?token=kune.events.11 (just add as a new calendar). Yes, something more or less common, but remember, all these events are groups events (a collaborative agenda) that can be updated in real time (same as gdocs), and can be decentralized (same as email). It's not a simple static email or post with a event (that I, personally, tend to forget). This can help a lot in the mobilization of groups because in the end, they tend to use email, twitter, fb, etc to do so, and well, don't work very well. These facilitate the build of common agendas and not to repeat efforts (we are always updating our personal agendas for each group event). Many work can be done in this direction: - make the current code scalable (implementing some cache of calendars, because now, kune generates the groups calendar in each petition). - make a per user calendar (with all its personal or groups events) with follow/unfollow of events. - develop more the private/public events visibility and permissions. - Create new event gadgets. Now our main event gadget (massmob) has been improved a lot, but, we can develop/adapt other event capable gadgets, like decentralized doodles, etc. So, we can moving towards a decentralized Google Calendar, Doodle, etc calendar infrastructure. Bests, -- Vicente J. Ruiz Jurado http://comunes.org http://ourproject.org http://homes.ourproject.org/~vjrj/blog (@vjrj) "The great moral question of the twenty-first century is this: if all knowing, all culture, all art, all useful information can be costlessly given to everyone at the same price that it is given to anyone; if everyone can have everything, anywhere, all the time, why is it ever moral to exclude anyone?"
