[Kune's installation] INSTALL instructions for DB creation and Developer's Guide issues
by Roberto Aragón 02 Sep '11

02 Sep '11

Hello everybody: I would like to propose to add some kind of explanation in kune/INSTALL file concerning database passwords. This file says that database passwords must be changed to something different than the placeholder text "PUT_HERE_A_DB_PASSWD". This is the right thing (since passwords are a very sensitive security concern), but no warning exists explaining that database password must match the one in all these files in order to start kune successfully: - src/main/resources/db/liquibase.properties - src/main/resources/META-INF/persistence.xml - script/liquibase-migrate.sh - script/liquibase-rollback.sh - pom.xml - src/main/webapp/WEB-INF/publicspace/config/database.yml So, shouldn't be the best (insecure) way to create the database to use the default ("db4kune") password? Also, I found some problems with these project settings/dependencies: - .project and .classpath are included in SVN repo, but Developer's Guide asks to generate this by making "mvn eclipse:eclipse". Couldn't be this a little contradictory/dangerous? - AspectJ nature is not needed but included in SVN's ".project" file. Is there a good reason for this? Thank you very much for your time, and please don't take this as an urgent task, lets come back from holidays at a slooooow pace ;-) Regards, Roberto.

Mozilla Apps -> Kune?
by Samer 31 Aug '11

Gadgets problem in Firefox and outdated extensions
by Vicente J. Ruiz Jurado 11 Aug '11

11 Aug '11

Hey there, Since several months, we are experiencing some problems with gadgets in Firefox. Check unresolved issue in google-wave-resources: https://code.google.com/p/google-wave-resources/issues/detail?id=881 This issue is mixed with the, now closed, WIAB issue: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/WAVE-220 Besides, we believe there are also a series of outdated gadgets. We think that issue #881 is currently out of WIAB scope, so no one is trying to fix it... is it correct? Anyone knows which would be the steps needed in order to fix #881 in WIAB? Concerning the outdated gadget problem: We propose to write an email to the gadget developers on https://wave-samples-gallery.appspot.com/ asking them to update their code to WIAB. We're sure many would be glad to resurrect their small extensions for them to become useful again. If anyone has access to their contacts, we can easily write them such an email. Another possibility is to create a simple page in the wiki with some tips for updating the extensions, in order to work properly again in WIAB... and give diffusion to it. Comments? Other proposals? Cheers, -- Samer & Vicente

First of all, thanks indeed. Currently we have disabled the translator in our demo because we want to enable it only for collaborators like you (if anyone can test it and edit translations as before, translations can be a mess). > How should I proceed ? I'll invite you to this list: https://lists.ourproject.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/kune-translators to be in touch when the translator is enabled again (probably this week), and similar things. > By the way, I was unable to use the "Leave a Reply" comment form of > the http://kune.ourproject.org/join/ webpage. > Each time I press "Post comment" I get this error message : "Error: > please enter a valid email address." > I've tried with several valid email addresses without success. > The wordpress antispam plugin was preventing you to register and should be now fixed ... Drag & drop
by Vicente J. Ruiz Jurado 26 Jul '11

26 Jul '11

Hola: He añadido drag & drop en Kune.
