This is a response to Sebastien's comment on

An old debate, indeed, with a new answer.
The question is whether a change in the token of denomination can alter the
social relations or the exchange ratios.
Would a transformation from lbs to kilos change the ratio of weight between
objects? Certainly not.
In the same way, if the forces of the market determine the ratios between
products(in time or euro), then there will be no actual change.

If scientists were to determine the ratios based on objective criteria,
would people have to be forced to work if they deem that a specific ratio
doesn't give them enough incentive to work?
