Hola, reportando instalación en máquina y testeando lo que dice
Gustavo de quitar savedefault, FUNCIONA BIEN!
Aparte, comento: instalé Musix 1.0 R3 b5 (una versión con algunas
mejoras hacia R2, como ivman por ejemplo [el cual puede instalarse en
R2 con un simple apt-get install ivman-musix]), y anduvo joya
Celeron 800mhz, 128kb cache, 256mb RAM, Epson Stylus C63, conexión a
internet de Speedy, modem NO USB, ethernet. 2 discos de 20 GB, usé 10
Gb para Musix.
Anduvo TODO de una, conexión a Internet, sin tocar nada. Para la
impresora tuve que instalar los paquetes extras con
get-more-print-packages
usé gnome-cups-manager para configurarla, probé e imprimió de una, todo bien.
Dejé instalado KDE como escritorio predeterminado porque se trata de
una PC familiar, de uso general. Instalé Openoffice, aMSN y otras
cositas como iceweasel y TODO KDE. (apt-get install kde)
Dispositivo USB: al conectarlo, aparece una ventana preguntando qué
hacer, en KDE; y un icono en el escritorio: perfecto.
CD de audio: aparece una ventana, pero con el PLAY que da, que es
kscd, no reproduceporque quizá la placa de sonido no está conectada
por dentro del gabinete bien. Igual dejé XMMS funcionando bien con CDs
de audio.
Modifiqué kdmrc para que las tipografías se vean más grandes (eso lo
hará predeterminadamente Musix 1.0 r3)
Dejé menu.lst con la opción REPARAR.
Presioné el botón de apagado de la máquina para producir un apagado
brutal, pero me sorprendió el hecho de que se cerró el escritorio y
produjo un apagado perfecto, contrario a lo que yo quería, entonces la
inicié de nuevo y luego desconecté el cable de electricidad para
producir el desastre de inconsistent filesystem structure.
Pero por suerte por el descubrimiento de Gustavo, no dio ese error,
sino que siguió al elegir la opción REPARAR, chequeó los discos y el
sistema se inició como si nada malo hubiera pasado ;-)
En fin, me sorprendió que en 4 hs estaba TODA la PC funcionando, con
todas las características, y MUCHO más rápido en materia de carga de
aplicaciones y desempeño en general que Windows XP.
Ahora les escribo desde otra máquina con Musix, pero andando como
Live-CD, conectada a Internet usando un gateway (encontrada la red por
dhcp, usando netcardconfig) que apunta a una que tiene un Win Xp, más
abajo los detalles de esta PC (en la cual también funciona todo bien).
