Comparto la invitación a la conferencia de justicia climática que inaugura
el Centro de Excelencia Jean Monnet sobre justicia climática, financiado
por la Comisión Europea.
Les pido que compartan esta iniciativa y el lanzamiento del centro (el
primero en Italia) entre sus contactos, colegas y estudiantes.
La conferencia será en inglés con interpretación en español e italiano.
Se expide un certificado de asistencia a los participantes.
El centro tiene sus raíces en muchos años de investigación y actividades y
será un punto de referencia, también para las actividades de investigación
y docencia (pasantías y tesis de grado y doctorado, tanto de nuestras
universidades como en la recepción de estudiantes e investigadores
internacionales) además el centro entiende consolidar el diálogo entre la
investigación y los actores sociales.

Jean Monnet Center of Excellence on climate justice, funded by the European
Commission.
I ask you to share this initiative, and the launch of the center (the first
in Italy) among your contacts.
The conference will be in English with interpretation in Spanish and
Italian.
Certificate of attendance is issued to participants.
The center is rooted on many years of research and activities and it will
be a point of reference, also for research and teaching activities
(internships and degree and doctoral theses, both of our universities and
in the reception of international students and researchers) but above all
to consolidate the dialogue between research and social actors.

Inauguración del nuevo Centro de Excelencia Jean Monnet sobre Justicia
Climática en la Universidad de Padua (en línea)*
Le invitamos a participar en la conferencia inaugural del nuevo Centro de
Excelencia Jean Monnet sobre Justicia Climática en la Universidad de Padua,
el martes 1 de junio de 2021 en dos sesiones, la primera de 11.30 a 13.30 y
la segunda de 15.30 a 18.30 (Horas de Roma).
Además de la inauguración oficial del Centro (la Universidad de Padua
alberga uno de los pocos centros en el mundo sobre estos temas y el único
en Italia), será la oportunidad de reflexionar sobre la justicia climática.
En la sesión de la mañana, José-Lorenzo Valles, Jefe de Unidad dell’EACEA
presentará la iniciativa Jean Monnet en el período 2021-2027; Vandana Shiva
abordará el tema de la justicia climática y los territorios centrándose en
las prácticas agrícolas liberadas de los combustibles fósiles (tierra, no
petróleo).
La sesión de la tarde trata sobre la construcción del diálogo entre la
investigación y la sociedad civil abordando los desafíos de la justicia
climática con la presencia de investigadores y organizaciones de la
sociedad civil de Italia, Europa, África y América Latina.

We invite you to participate at the opening conference of the new Jean
Monnet Centre of Excellence on Climate Justice at University of Padua,
Tuesday 1 June 2021 in two sessions, the first from 11.30-13.30 the second
from 15.30 to 18.30 (CET).
In addition to the official inauguration of the Centre (the University of
Padua hosts one of the few centres in the world on these issues and the
only one in Italy), it will be the opportunity to reflect on climate
justice.
In the morning session José-Lorenzo Valles, Head of Unit dell’EACEA will
present the initiative Jean Monnet in the period 2021-2027; Vandana Shiva
will address the issue of climate justice and territories focusing on
agricultural practices released from fossil fuels (land not oil).
The afternoon session deals with the dialogue building between research and
civil society addressing the challenges of climate justice with the
presence of researchers and civil society organizations from Italy, Europe,
Africa and Latin America.

Climatica all'Università di Padova (on line)*
La conferenza oltre ad inaugurare il nuovo Centro Jean Monnet
dell'Università di Padova (uno dei pochi centri al mondo su queste
tematiche e l’unico in Italia) sarà soprattutto un momento per riflettere
sulla giustizia climatica.
Nella sessione del mattino José-Lorenzo Valles, Head of Unit dell’EACEA
presenterà le prospettive delle inziative Jean Monnet nel periodo 2021-2027.
Avremo la presenza di Vandana Shiva che affronterà la tematica delle
relazioni tra giustizia climatica e territori e delle pratiche agricole
svincolate dai combustibili fossili (terra non petrolio).
La sessione del pomeriggio sarà dedicata alla costruzione del dialogo tra
ricerca e società civile affrontando i luoghi e le sfide della giustizia
climatica con la presenza di ricercatori e di organizzazioni della società
civile italiane, europee dell’Africa dell’America Latina.
La conferenza sarà in inglese con interpretariato in lingua italiana e
spagnola
