worked out since the Benedict was so rich. I also tried their beignets but found them to be a little too dense. Our server was friendly and checked in often. I appreciate that Founding Farmer's restaurant itself is green/LEED certified (I've worked in a LEED certified building). I can also appreciate their efforts to promote sustainability. I love that their food is good for you and delicious all at once. 4.5 stars but I'll round up. This place is absolutely the real deal. It's very refreshing for a restaurant to have all the atmosphere, great food, and great drinks all under one roof - this place had all of this and some. This was a slight walk from the National Mall and the White House, maybe about a mile, more or less, but well worth it. It seemed very busy, which is always a good sign, with seating both at the bar, tables and booths. Atmosphere was very laid back, and there were many people with many backgrounds enjoying it - from businessmen to recent college graduates looking to celebrate. This restaurant appeals to all walks of life without making you feel indifferent. Drinks were about average in price for good drinks in DC but were very refreshing and very tasty, and felt like they were well worth the price.
