and perhaps the best I have ever had. My benedict's english muffins were seriously the bomb dot com, which was a little strange because my brother ordered the FF plate and received a hard, cardboard-like piece of english muffin. The service was nothing special -- we made a prior reservation and got there 10-15 minutes late (when we called them ahead, letting them know we were looking for a parking space) and were told our table was taken away because we were late. We were still seated soon after, but... really? Our server was fine but he didn't seem too thrilled to be there. Will be back, but probably won't be making reservation 2 weeks ahead of time. Made a reservation through open table, requested to eat downstairs (the main level) but they didn't have any tables. I personally did not care, but my boyfriend (who made the request) was a bit disappointed. Again, it didn't really matter to me, I just care about food. I had already dreamed of what I was going to order after stalking the menu online. To start we ordered

like it had been sitting under a heating lamp for a while (everything was kind of congealed together and icky). ??The rest of the gang wasn't impressed either. That being said, drinks and appetizers were fabulous. ??I'll probably only come back for pre-dinner activities, and go for a meal somewhere else. Solid brunch and good food but I do think it's overhyped. We tried their beignets ??first and I wasn't the biggest fan -- perhaps Rue Cler has spoiled me, but beignets was a bit too buttery and not as crispy as I like my beignets. Eggs benedict on the other hand was on point
