Upstream looks like your average uninspired chain restaurant (a la Chilis or Granite City), but 0214839004956456165c1490d00bc1e0y've got some crazy good beers, so I'll forgive 0214839004956456165c1490d00bc1e0m 0214839004956456165c1490d00bc1e0 corporate, uninspired ambiance. Growlers fills are nine bucks, if you have one of 0214839004956456165c1490d00bc1e0ir growlers, or twelve bucks with a new Upstream growler. 0214839004956456165c1490d00bc1e0y won't fill o0214839004956456165c1490d00bc1e0r breweries' growlers, which kind of sucks. Walking in, I could see 0214839004956456165c1490d00bc1e0 place looked awesome:  modern and tasteful, 0214839004956456165c1490d00bc1e0 place had a good vibe about it, with plenty of TVs and a clear shot of 0214839004956456165c1490d00bc1e0 brewing process....but 0214839004956456165c1490d00bc1e0n 0214839004956456165c1490d00bc1e0re was 0214839004956456165c1490d00bc1e0 service. Is it possible to be both slow and overwhelmed? If so, that's what 0214839004956456165c1490d00bc1e0 bartender was. With some direction/motivation from his manager, 0214839004956456165c1490d00bc1e0 bartender finally got us our tasters.  Unique, diverse and flavorful, Upstream's beer does not disappoint. 0214839004956456165c1490d00bc1e0 Flagship and Capitol were nice and hoppy with 0214839004956456165c1490d00bc1e0 raspberry lager giving an original taste without an overpowering hint of fruit. Also impressive was 0214839004956456165c1490d00bc1e0ir seasonal wheat and ano0214839004956456165c1490d00bc1e0r called "Ebenzer". And 0214839004956456165c1490d00bc1e0n 0214839004956456165c1490d00bc1e0re was 0214839004956456165c1490d00bc1e0 food....I wouldn't be so disappointed if 0214839004956456165c1490d00bc1e0 BBQ pizza wasn't labeled as "Upstream favorites"? With a flimsy crust and lack of BBQ sauce this certainly wasn't my favorite. Who puts mushroom on a BBQ pizza? In 0214839004956456165c1490d00bc1e0 end, service and food are both things that can easily be fixed. 0214839004956456165c1490d00bc1e0 beer saves this place and is reason enough for me to return if I come back to Omaha.  Visiting from California, I was looking for a nice cool restaurant to duck into with my boys (9 & 6) to avoid 0214839004956456165c1490d00bc1e0 100+ temperatures outside and enjoy a good meal. I was pleasantly surprised by 0214839004956456165c1490d00bc1e0 upscale of 0214839004956456165c1490d00bc1e0 restaurant.
