Dear Kevin, thanks for looking into this to see if we can publish a support announcement, or their own appeal, in the p2p blog, in the meantime I will diffuse the below as is, Michel On Fri, Feb 27, 2015 at 9:35 PM, AKTIVE ARBEITSLOSE < [email protected]> wrote:
STUDENTS AND STAFF PROTEST AT THE UNIVERSITY OF AMSTERDAM
There are currently a lot of protests going on at the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands against the proposed austerity measures which will very seriously affect the Humanities and Arts.
We (academic staff supporting the students) have formulated a more broad-based open letter to the Board and the Education Ministry that has now gone up as a petition on Change.org.

We are collecting more signatures, also from sympathisers from other universities, to sustain the movement’s momentum, and demonstrate that there is a wide and international base for the kinds of changes the students have been demanding.
If you agree with this petition, we would like to ask for your support by signing it.
