Actually, no, I have never knowingly used a pirated copy of windows (not since Windows 3.1 at least). I have one windows computer at home with the original XP Pro that came with it. All other computers in my house are Linux. I am a Linux admin at my current job, with a Linux desktop. My last job was as a Linux admin, any the provided laptop was a PowerBook G4 with OX X. It has been years since I used windows professionally. --- Jorge Salgueiro <[email protected]> wrote:

I remember coming across that in the past. I will have to check the licensing of any software before using it.
so, you never used a pirate copy of windows? :D And i'm shure that if you really need such an app, well you could always ask permition to the developer (even if he is a anarkist like myself) :)

There's also the antithesis of ZynAddSubFX, a program that cannot be used to create religious music, I don't remember
the
name now.

I just started to create backing tracks. For the last 18 months, I have been singing and playing guitar by myself at my church on Sunday's. In order to add variety (and wake people up), I want to create backing tracks with drums, bass, and other instruments.
Copyright laws prohibit me from sharing any of my work so far. I perform these pieces under my church's CCLI license.
see
http://zynaddsubfx.sourceforge.net/ to share is very cristian ;) the creation of free content (as in freedom) is in benefit of all of us. see
www.freeculture.cc www.creativecommons.org (they have some non-free licenses here, I believe that the atribution-noncomercial-sharealike is free) www.fsf.org
