Subject: Our Open Letter to the United Nations
To:
Dear family and friends,
Today, the United Nations are going to ratify the Sustainable Development
Goals. Although they sound laudable, they are actually a neoliberal fig
leaf, a distraction really, to prevent us from the real work of rewriting
the rules of the economy. They require a 12x increase in global GDP in 15
years in order to be achieved because they don't tackle inequality, wealth
distribution, rampant consumption or perpetual growth.
I would like to ask for your support in this campaign by signing onto our
Open Letter to the United Nations
<http://therules.org/petition/sdg-open-letter/>. It has been co-signed by
Noam Chomsky, Eve Ensler, Chris Hedges, Naomi Klein, Thomas Pogge, Maude
Barlow, Anuradha Mittal, David Graeber, and others.

Thank you for your support.
