 Dear members of the advisory council of the Degrowth-Conference 2014,

thank you again, for supporting the crowdfunding-campaign of the
conference! We received hand-signed books from many of you, which we will
give out as goodies (small presents for donators). The campaign would not
be possible without them!

Today, at 5pm started the crowdfunding-campaign and it lasts for 55 days.
In case the campaign is successful, it gives us another 15.000 Euro, which
we will use for specific parts of the conference. You find the

campaign is both in English and in German, we hope to activate both an

Dear friends and supporters of the 2014 Degrowth Conference,

In order to make our conference a truly democratic and inclusive event, we
have started an exciting crowdfunding-campaign. It will run for 55 days and
ends shortly before the conference.

Our goal is to enable as many people as possible to participate in the
conference and to contribute to a change towards a society beyond the
imperative of economic growth. In order to achieve this, however, we have
to offer quality child care at the conference, video-streaming of the main
events on our website and solidary funding of travel expenses. For these
three purposes we will need 15.000 Euros to be raised through the
crowdfunding campaign.

As a thank you for the support there will be interesting presesents such as
hand-signed books written by members of our advisory board, canvas bags
with degrowth-logo and an invitation to a degrowth-lunch in Leipzig.

Please support us, not necessarily with financial contributions, but also
through sharing this crowdfunding campaign via your own networks and social

Liebe Degrowth-Interessierte,

heute um 17 Uhr ist die Crowdfunding Kampagne für die Degrowth Konferenz
gestartet:

Sie läuft nun 55 Tage und endet kurz vor der Degrowth Konferenz, die vom
02.-06. September 2014 an der Universität Leipzig stattfinden wird.

Unser Ziel ist es, dass möglichst viele Menschen an der Konferenz
teilnehmen können und somit zu einem Wandel für eine Gesellschaft jenseits
von Wachstumszwängen beitragen.
Dafür ist es allerdings notwendig, dass wir eine solide Kinderbetreuung für
die Konferenz organisieren, ein funktionierendes Internetstreaming
einrichten und eine solidarischen Reisekostenerstattung ermöglichen. Dafür
sollen die 15.000 Euro der Crowdfunding-Kampagne dienen. Nur wenn ihr euch
an der Kampagne beteiligt, können wir dieses Ziel gemeinsam erreichen!

Für eure Unterstützung könnt ihr euch spannende Goodies (wie z.B.
handsignierte Bücher von u.a. Angelika Zahrnt, Harald Welzer, Silke
Helfrich und Uwe Schneidewind, DVDs zum Thema Degrowth, Jutebeutel mit
Degrowth Logo und eine Einladung zu einem Degrowth-Mittagessen in Leipzig)
aussuchen. Bitte unterstützt uns nicht nur mit einem finanziellen Beitrag,
sondern auch, indem ihr die Crowdfunding-Kampagne über eure eignen Kanäle
bewerbt. Da die Kampagne sowohl auf deutsch als auch auf englisch gestaltet
ist, kann das deutsche sowie das internationale Degrowth-Zielpublikum
angesprochen werden.
