The first European regional meetings, "The Workers economy", will take
place from 31 January to 1 February 2014 in the premises of FRALIB, factory
occupied by workers defending their jobs in Marseille, France.
These meetings are a continuity of the international meetings called 'The
workers economy', organized since 2007 from the experience of recovered
companies, and other movements for the self-management of work in Latin
America.

El I Encuentro Regional Europeo “La Economía de los Trabajadores” se

trabajo. Este Encuentro es una continuidad de los Encuentros
Internacionales “La economía de los Trabajadores” organizados desde 2007 a
partir de la experiencia de las empresas recuperadas y otros movimientos
por la autogestión del trabajo en América Latina.

desafíos del sindicalismo en el nuevo contexto europeo y mundial. 13 hs:

14 hs: Presentación del espacio workerscontrol.net
15 hs: Comisiones de trabajo: a) Rueda de intercambio entre experiencias;
b) investigación sobre empresas y colectivos autogestionarios en Europa; c)
campaña de solidaridad con luchas autogestionarias.

The International Socialism journal is holding a one day conference
Work, Class and Resistance:
Saturday 8 February 2014.


How relevant is Marx?s conception of class? Has the working class been
rendered impotent by neoliberalism? What are the prospects for resistance
from trade unions today?

The conference brings together academics and trade union activists. It is
an opportunity to discuss and debate the shape of the working class today
and the potential for resistance.
