[P2P-F] Tadit's critiques on local currency reformers

While I respect your personal opinion, "harsh" seems like a rather  
relative dismissal. I've done my best to do my homework. Those who refuse  
that basic commitment and yet continue to use persuasive rhetoric and  
either actively misrepresent facts or rely on persuasion rather than  
analysis which can be addressed as part of an open scientific discourse, I  
really don't have much patience for.

I have involved with cooperatives, primarily food based, for a long time.  
One of the dark side aspects of cooperative particularly when they are  
less than mature as community, is that they tend to have an open door to  
fraud of multiple types. This perhaps this means that I was never fully  
socialized, maybe. I believe strongly in acknowledging both the dark and  
light, and the difference between appearances and substance, as aspects of  
most human endeavors. In struggling to promote economic literacy, and it  
has been a struggle, I have to acknowledge the commitment or lack of it to  
an open discourse, transparency, accountability, and all that. The process  
of what I call inverted induction begins with certain conclusions, and  
then sets out to find ways of making that "conclusion" seem plausible. In  
large part pop-economics is an abandoned zone, imo, because it promotes  
confusion, as honest and well intentioned as its boosters may or may not  
be.

As to the intentions of the writers in this genera, I will look at the  
evidence provided and their conclusions. To the extent that a peer review  
has been evaded or misrepresented I am likely to challenge the content. I  
suppose that is one definition of harsh, I prefer higher standards than  
most perhaps.

On the side I have been exchanging with Stephanie Kelton and she shared  
with me a narrative essentially how MMT is becoming "mainstream" in a  
sense. I 've asked her if I can share it by way of demonstrating the  
non-cultish nature of MMT/FF. I expect to receive her approval shortly.

As to posting my reviews, aah shucks, now you are going to make me self  
conscious (maybe).
