I think that working on open infrastructures can be done with people from
multiple political backgrounds

however, political alliances are another matter; that'a a much more
dangerous affair, and depends on putting in 'brackets' issues of
disagreements, but not impossible, think of the Egyptian mobilisations ...

as for control of money, yes, private banks create the money, but the state
still has a huge influence through central banks ... the private-state
system is a very imbricated affair,
