Fortunately we have a solution for you: 
>From the MUSIXCONTROL application you can install all the programs you are requesting en masse and AT ONCE.

You can do this opening the MUSIXCONTROL application. In the "INSTALL" tab, please look for the "MASSIVE" group of buttons and press the "VIDEO - Install applications" button. Follow the prompts and you are done.

Gilberto: Sugiero que le cambiemos el nombre al grupo de "Massive" a "En masse". Esta es la expresión francesa que se utiliza en inglés para denotar algo hecho "en masa", mientras que la palabra "massive" en inglés, denota algo "muy sólido" o "muy masizo". "Una masa". No "masivo" como sería intuirivo pensar.

Marcos,

I just recently downloaded Musix 2 Beta and have made copies for kids

to take

home with them on summer vacation.  It is beautiful!  I like that you

have the

language menu at the beginning too.  The students were really excited.

I don't know if it is possible for you to include a couple more

things, but

following is a "wish list" of a few additional packages we use often

in class.

1.  Cinelerra - We use Cinelerra frequently in class.  It is the best

video

editor and Musix has always been the easiest way to use it.  As you

know,

installing Cinelerra is a bit odd and I have never been able to

successfully do

it!  For the past two years we have completely depended on Musix for

video

editing.

2.  gtKam - We use this small utility to import video from our Sony

cameras.

Maybe you have included another program that imports video from

cameras?

3.  LyX - We use LyX for creative writing, play scripts, and reports.

4.  PyKaraoke - I have never been able to get KMid to work for karaoke

singing.

I have always used midi-Karaoke for classroom singing.

5.  It would be great if Iceweasel played Youtube and Teachertube

videos in the

browser.  However, they do play easily from Teachertube when you

download

them.

6.  Finally, I had to manually edit the /etc/resolv.conf file to add

the

nameserver information to be able to use a web browser.  That file was

edited

automatically in earlier versions of Musix.

Are you getting ready for winter now?  Summer vacation starts here on
