 | how's it going with 2.6.23-rt1? guess you're still experiencing the same
 | intermitent freezing problems?

 uname -a
Linux musix1.0r3b27dvd 2.6.23-rt1 #1 SMP PREEMPT RT Sun Oct 14 15:17:12 EEST
2007 i686 GNU/Linux

No, those problems were related to Musix's minor bugs: Xorg --configure didnt
worked if splashy was running ("fixed"), but, also it didnt produced freezes,
I just pressed control+C and it continued booting... and the alsaconf problem
was also a bug introduced by myself: when running on automatic mode, it used
to stop "asking" something from a read... but I fixed those bugs and now
there are no problems.

Because Musix 1.0 R3 test1 is changing so fast, I assumed that thoses errors
where related to the 2.6.23-rt1 kernel, but, I wasnt right.

Also, Tapani, the kernel hacker, managed to patch 2.6.23-rt1 with aufs (now
into our repos), so we will be using it from the Live-CD/DVD.

 | i'm asking you this because you probably have contact with several beta
 | users of musix. if that so, please would you mind gather all the evidence
 | you can find and post it to the linux-rt-users at vger.kernel.org
 | maillist, for instance, and let people know that i'm not alone?

Sure!!
I should be on this mailing list! I am subscribing there right now.

 | every vote counts, I hope :)

hehe

 | cheers
