Parece que pasa seguido... Estoy buscando por qué cambia a root:root a
veces el .ICE-authority. Puede ser que sea al correr la consola como
root desde el desktop admin...

i still have this issue on one comp.
Also from time to time (usually when the bug happens i think) root
becomes the owner of my .ICEauthority and .fonts.cache-1 .

Have a lok at your .ICEauthority permissions (hidden in home)
If they are root then do this:
sudo chown YourUsername .ICEauthority
sudo chgrp YourUsername .ICEauthority
If that doesn't work you may need to change all your permissions like this:
sudo chown -R YourUsername *
sudo chgrp -R YourUsername *

Este dice que cuando carga con sudo se le cambia a root. A nosotros no
nos pasa siempre, no pude comprobar que sea el sudo...

Conclusión:
No pude reproducirlo, pero a mucha gente le pasa eso... Puede ser que
sea q una aplicación que se rompe cargada por root haga que el permiso
de .ICEauthority quede como root:root.
Está la forma de arreglarlo en el wiki? El chown usuario blabla
