I didn't know it before, but tried it now. On my work-computer, gnewsense 1.0 boots well, looks 
nice, but something's wrong with MIDI:
 > aconnect -l
open /dev/snd/seq failed: No such file or directory
can't open sequencer

On the broken notebook, it fails to boot like most other 2.6-live-cds:
Loading vmlinuz... Loading initrd.gz... Ready. -> then stuck, nothing happens any more
