[Musix-Help] FW: reiserfs o ext3 -2º

Voy a comentar brevemente mi experiencia personal:

Estoy trabajando hace unos meses en la unificacion de tres servidores de
correo en una sola plataforma. La cantidad de usuarios es
aproximadamente unos 50.000

Uno de los primeros benchmarks que corri fue para ver que filesystem
usar. De los tres que probe (ext3, reiserfs y xfs) el claro elegido fue
reiserfs. Porque? Mejor performance para archivos pequenhos (fundamental
para los mails), Mejor performance para directorios con cientos de
subdirectorios y menor utilizacion de cpu (al menos que ext3, en eso xfs
es mejor).

De todas formas es una pena que reiserfsv4 todavia no este soportado en
los kernels 2.6, ya que tiene -aun mejor- performance que reiserfsv3 (la
version actual). Pero supongo que a lo largo de este anho se implemente.
