Earlier this August, India marked the 81st death anniversary of the iconic
Bengali poet, writer, educationist and philosopher Rabindranath Thakur. His
acclaimed poem, “Where the mind is without fear” has inspired generations
of Indians to work for wisdom and wellbeing in the country. Ashish Kothari
honors Rabindranath Thakur’s memory inspired by that celebrated poem,
introducing an “alternatives” twist to the great poet’s sentiments in a
poem of his own.
