Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the organising committee of the 22nd International Conference of the Utopian Studies Society/Europe (University of Brighton, 13-15 July 2022), I would like to invite interested list members to register for online participation in this cross-disciplinary conference.

The 2022 conference is dedicated to an exploration of radical utopian thinking and revolutionary praxis. It is intended to create a space where participants can explore the role of utopian (eutopian and dystopian) thinking and practice in addressing some of the fundamental challenges of our times, from ecocide to the threat of nuclear war, hunger and homelessness and disease, patriarchy and sexual violence, settler colonialism and the genocide of indigenous peoples, disaster capitalism, and resurgent and virulent new forms of racism, religious intolerance and ethno-nationalism.

Further information about the conference, including the conference programme, book of abstracts, keynote address (Profs. Jack Halberstam and Raffaella Baccolini) information, and registration options, is available here:

https://blogs.brighton.ac.uk/utopianstudiessocietyconf22/

Please note that the 'Virtual attendance - full conference' registration package, which includes access to live streams of all conference sessions, is available for the nominal fee of £20. Virtual day passes are also available at a cost of £10 per day.

Kind regards,

Laurence
