[PeDAGoG] International Master Programme on Climate Change and Diversity: Sustainable Territorial Development - Application 2022/23

CCD - STeDe is a two-year international joint master's degree course (120
ECTS credits), which offers the opportunity to live study experiences,
internship and research experiences in Europe and worldwide, preparing
specialists and professionals to support organizations acting in the
territory to draft sustainable territorial development policies in the
context of climate justice.
The four academic paths offer a variety of teachings and specialisations,
in order to guarantee a complete, broad academic and unique curriculum.
Depending on the interests and chosen language, the four academic paths are
so organised:
● Climate change, sustainability, development / Cambio Climático,
Sustentabilidad y Desarrollo (University of Padova and Universidad Andina
Simón Bolívar; teaching languages: English and Spanish)
● Regional and local studies / Estudos Regionais e Locais (University of
Padova and Universidade da Madeira; teaching languages: English and
Portuguese)
● Territorial management / Aménagement du Territoire (University of Padova
and Université Joseph Ki Zerbo; teaching languages: English and French)
● Environmental Management (University of Padova and University of
Johannesburg; teaching languages: English and French)
In all the four academic paths, the first semester is carried out in
presence at the University of Padova, while the second one depends on the
choice of the academic path:
● First path: Universidad Andina Simón Bolívar (Quito, Ecuador) – online
and in presence
● Second path: Universidade da Madeira (Portugal) – in presence
● Third path: Université Joseph Ki Zerbo (Ougadougou, Burkina Faso) –
online and in presence
● Fourth path: University of Johannesburg (South Africa) – in presence
During the third semester lessons are mainly on line except the
international summer school on the topics of Biodiversity, landscapes and
human well-being, and the emerging issues in tourism and territorial
transitions.
The fourth semester is dedicated for all to internship and thesis, to be
carried everywhere in the world under the supervision of one of the
Universities in the partnership.
CCD - STeDe refers to a Consortium of international universities and
professional partners in the field of sustainable territorial development.
The 5 partner universities of the Consortium are the University of Padua,
programme coordinator (Italy), Universidad Andina Simón Bolívar (Quito,
Ecuador), Université OUAGA I Professor Joseph KI-ZERBO (Burkina Faso),
Universidade da Madeira (Portugal), University of Johannesburg (South
Africa).
The professional partners are: The European Association for Local Democracy
- ALDA (France/Italy), Via Via Tourism Academy (Belgium), Fundación
Pachamama (Ecuador), the Association GISHub in Italy
CCD - STeDe allows obtain these titles:
- Laurea Magistrale in Sustainable Territorial Development – Climate
Change, Diversity, Cooperation, Classe n. LM-81 delle Lauree Magistrali in
Scienze per la Cooperazione allo Sviluppo – (D.M. 22/10/2004, n.270),
Università degli Studi di Padova;
In addition, a second title, depending on the academic path:
- Maestría de investigación en Cambio Climático, Sustentabilidad y
Desarrollo – Universidad Andina Simón Bolívar (Quito, Ecuador)
- Mestrado em Estudos Regionais e Locais - Universidade da Madeira
(Portugal)
- Master on Environmental Management - University of Johannesburg (South
Africa)
- Master recherche en Géographie Spécialité: Aménagement du Territoire -
Universitè Joseph Ki Zerbo (Burkina Faso)

*Available scholarships*
For candidates applying to the first call (13 December 2021 – 01 March
2022):
A) one scholarship is provided by the University of Padova for an amount of
24.000 Euro, covering the 24 months of the program. All applications will
be considered for the Scholarship award. The scholarship is awarded to the
best-ranked applicant.
B) The University of Padova will offer 10 scholarships for the path
“Regional and local studies / Estudos Regionais e Locais” (University of
Padova and Universidade da Madeira; teaching languages: English and
Portuguese). The scholarship will include:
– subsistence allowance of 500 EUR/month for mobility to Universidade Da
Madeira (II semester), max 6 months;
– travel allowance of 275 EUR tot.
The scholarship confirmation will be sent in May 2022 to the selected
students having signed the student agreement.
C) In addition, the University of Padova will offer 5 scholarships to
top-ranked students participating at one of the following paths: Climate
change, sustainability, development / Cambio Climático, Sustentabilidad y
Desarrollo (University of Padova and Universidad Andina Simón Bolívar;
teaching languages: English and Spanish) or Territorial management /
Aménagement du Territoire (University of Padova and Université Joseph Ki
Zerbo; teaching languages: English and French) or Environmental Management
(University of Padova and University of Johannesburg; teaching languages:
English and French). The scholarship will include:
– subsistence allowance of 700EUR/month for mobility in Ecuador, South
Africa or Burkina Faso (II semester), max 6 months;
– travel allowance of 800 EUR tot.
The scholarship confirmation will be sent in May 2022 to all selected
students having signed the student agreement.
