Checked it out Michel, it is a commercial software that allows you to pull content to your own website, rather linking the sites of others. I don't very much like this kind of action, it seems to go against the basic idea of having hyperlinks that lead people to more information. It's a way to make your website "stickier", i.e. to keep visitors on your own site rather than letting them roam freely. Here is what their FAQ says: What problem do you solve? Individuals on the web are faced with information overload. You only have a short period of time to guide them to what they care about. If that content lives elsewhere online (Youtube video, CNN article, Linkedin profile, etc), you create an exit from your website and run the risk that your visitors might not return. You can use our application to directly link your visitors to the content they care about without ever leaving your community’s umbrella. This leads to an improved experience for your visitors and a “stickier website.” Is there a cost? Yes. Our service comes with an annual subscription. This helps us cover hosting, infrastructure, and on-going enhancements. For a limited time, we are offering discounted rates as well as a free trial. Not really a p2p technology, I'd say. thanks again, I wonder if it would be useful to create a wiki file with your critical comments? Michel On Fri, Feb 18, 2011 at 5:13 PM, Sepp Hasslberger <[email protected]> wrote:
