ICU Psychosis...........................!
David Aronovitch, a noted journalist believed that he was the ultimate rationalist, and had written an important book debunking conspiracy theories...and saw himself as being the great sane man.... until he was in hospital, and had psychosis in which he experienced auditory, and visual "hallucinations"..... which were just as real as reality itself....................................... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-15881720
This is a very interesting incident. Aaronovitch has set himself up as the leading critic of conspiracy theory and the 9/11 Truth Movement. His book "Voodoo Histories" attempts to debunk the most popular conspiracy theories of the last 100 years, especially JFK and 9/11, using an "Ocams Razor" approach; that the simplest explanation for an event is usually the truthful one and that conspiracy theorists over-complicate historical narratives due to a lack of meaning in their lives and for ideological reasons such as antisemitism. However Aaronovitch seems to have an agenda and ideology of his own that was visible when he supported the invasion of Iraq in 2003. His support for the Neo-cons and the Global War on Terror is motivated by his Zionist beliefs and unwavering support for the state of Israel. It may seem conspiratorial to suggest he attacks 9/11 Truth as a way of supporting Zionism but that is what many in the Truth Movement believe. I read Aaronovitch's psychotic breakdown as being caused by an attack of his own personal "bad conscience" over his support for the invasion of Iraq, the death of a million innocent people in Iraq during the invasion, his employment as a columnist by the Murdoch owned London Times and the realization that he's been telling lies and propaganda for the "bad guys" Bush and Blair for some time. ... so his psychotic breakdown proves David Aaronovitch must have a conscience after all?
