In other words, repression of protest is an act of enclosure itself -- and literally occurs when the state requires a "permit to protest" and the police push people off the commons of public spaces into "private" spaces so that they can arrest (and de-legitimize) them. In short, the post makes a nice link between the Occupy movement and the commons. http://www.3quarksdaily.com/**3quarksdaily/2011/10/permit-** me-to-protest--1.html#tp<http://www.3quarksdaily.com/3quarksdaily/2011/10/permit-me-to-protest--1.html#tp> -- P2P Foundation: http://p2pfoundation.net - http://blog.p2pfoundation.net Connect: http://p2pfoundation.ning.com; Discuss: http://lists.ourproject.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/p2p-foundation Updates: http://del.icio.us/mbauwens; http://friendfeed.com/mbauwens; http://twitter.com/mbauwens; http://www.facebook.com/mbauwens
