On the money note, for info: -------- Original Message -------- Subject: Beyond Money, Trickster Initiation, Grant Morrison Supergods Date: Fri, 23 Sep 2011 10:21:39 -0700 From: Reality Sandwich <[email protected]> RealitySandwich.com Evolving consciousness bite by bite =========================================================== =========================================================== As thousands of people participate in the daily demonstrations on Wall Street, to protest the corruption at the heart of our financial and political institutions, we'd like to share a note we received from Reality Sandwich contributor Charles Eisenstein about this inspiring campaign: "Someday we might look back and see the Occupy Wall Street movement as a watershed event. Until now, the financial industry's depredations have brought nary a consequence to its elites, insulated as they are behind walls of numbers. No more: now the real world is puncturing their bubble. If the politicians won't hold them accountable, maybe the people will. These protesters won't prosecute them or physically harm them; what they will do is to remind them that their numbers games have real-world consequences. Traffic snarls and ID checks are just the beginning. People are angry, and they have learned from democratic movements around the world that direct action can bring results. Normal isn't coming back to Wall Street." Charles Eisenstein is the author of the new Evolver Editions book, Sacred Economics: Money, Gift, and Society in the Age of Transition, and has an article in the upcoming Reality Sandwich anthology What Comes After Money?, which is edited by RS founders Daniel Pinchbeck and Ken Jordan, and will be released on September 27. We encourage you to check them out. === EVENTS Awakening the Cosmic Serpent II: Ayahuasca, Ancient Remedy for Modern Times Evolver Intensive with Jeremy Narby Join “Cosmic Serpent” bestselling author Jeremy Narby for a pathbreaking 5-part online course that explores the mysteries at the heart of ancient shamanic practices and the visionary states they entail.
