Urban furniture combined with outdoor advertising has determined the public space of metropolises for more than 30 years. The project "Hacking Urban Furniture", tackles this overlooked part of our potential urban commons. It has been initiated by the ZK/U which is the great cultural center in Berlin that will also host the next BG Annual Conference. If you wish to participate in the "Hacking Urban Furniture" project, there is now an open call, inviting artists, architects, researchers and urban creators to work closely together with an expert advisory board in interdisciplinary exchange, to analyze the parameters of urban furniture and outdoor advertising and programme them anew. The deadline is end of June, more info here: http://www.hackingurbanfurniture.net/fileadmin/user_upload/HUF/ Call_for_proposals_HUF.pdf Stay tuned, Krystian -- -------------------------------------------------------------- BG – Berliner Gazette | since 1999 | http://berlinergazette.de -------------------------------------------------------------- BG BOOK OUT NOW: AFTER THE PLANES | http://diamondpaper.net/title_25 -------------------------------------------------------------- SIGNALS.
