But however ‘immaterial’ their labour processes, workers still have bodies that become exhausted and require feeding and housing in the offline economy. This collection takes a critical look at how online work can be theorised and categorised (including revisiting concepts of ‘deskilling’ developed in the 1970s). Drawing on in-depth empirical research in Europe, Latin America and North America it also analyses how the development of online work has meshed with broader trends in organisational restructuring to erode traditional employment norms, time structures and models of behaviour at work, placing stresses on daily life and raising new contradictions in the real world. *Contents* Working online, living an independent, international inter-disciplinary peer-reviewed journal, founded in 2006.Each issue is devoted to a specific theme. This thematic coherence enables each issue to be published not only as a journal issue but also as a book, published by Merlin Press, enabling it to reach a broader audience than is usual with an academic journal. More information about the aims of the journal, its editorial board and the contents of past issues is available at www.analyticapublications.co.uk<http://visitor.benchmarkemail.com/c/l?u=2A4C01E&e=34220E&c=14F0F&t=0&l=6129DA3&email=Nlw1XM9Bwi5rAJMGRSeRh49nNPuw6lIV> This special issue was produced in association with COST Action IS 1202 * The Dynamics of Virtual Work, <http://visitor.benchmarkemail.com/c/l?u=2A4DD90&e=34220E&c=14F0F&t=0&l=6129DA3&email=Nlw1XM9Bwi5rAJMGRSeRh49nNPuw6lIV> *an international interdisciplinary research network on the transformation of work in the Internet Age. * *Supported by* * (for more details, go here<http://visitor.benchmarkemail.com/c/l?u=2A5282C&e=34220E&c=14F0F&t=0&l=6129DA3&email=Nlw1XM9Bwi5rAJMGRSeRh49nNPuw6lIV>) and based at the University of Hertfordshire<http://visitor.benchmarkemail.com/c/l?u=2A4DD94&e=34220E&c=14F0F&t=0&l=6129DA3&email=Nlw1XM9Bwi5rAJMGRSeRh49nNPuw6lIV> * <http://visitor.benchmarkemail.com/c/l?u=2A4DD95&e=34220E&c=14F0F&t=0&l=6129DA3&email=Nlw1XM9Bwi5rAJMGRSeRh49nNPuw6lIV> * Contact the journal <[email protected]> <http://visitor.benchmarkemail.com/c/l?u=2A4DD96&e=34220E&c=14F0F&t=0&l=6129DA3&email=Nlw1XM9Bwi5rAJMGRSeRh49nNPuw6lIV> www.analyticapublications.co.uk<http://visitor.benchmarkemail.com/c/l?u=2A4C01F&e=34220E&c=14F0F&t=0&l=6129DA3&email=Nlw1XM9Bwi5rAJMGRSeRh49nNPuw6lIV> This message was sent to [email protected] by [email protected] Unsubscribe<http://visitor.benchmarkemail.com/c/su?e=34220E&c=14F0F&l=6129DA3&email=Nlw1XM9Bwi5rAJMGRSeRh49nNPuw6lIV&relid=266BCD6C>| Manage Subscription<http://visitor.benchmarkemail.com/c/s?e=34220E&c=14F0F&l=6129DA3&email=Nlw1XM9Bwi5rAJMGRSeRh49nNPuw6lIV&relid=266BCD6C>| Forward Email<http://visitor.benchmarkemail.com/c/f?e=34220E&c=14F0F&l=6129DA3&email=Nlw1XM9Bwi5rAJMGRSeRh49nNPuw6lIV&relid=266BCD6C>| Report Abuse<http://visitor.benchmarkemail.com/Abuse?e=34220E&c=14F0F&l=6129DA3&email=Nlw1XM9Bwi5rAJMGRSeRh49nNPuw6lIV&relid=266BCD6C> <http://www.benchmarkemail.com/sign-up/email?utm_source=cus-foot&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=ft-logo-footer&e=34220E&c=14F0F&l=6129DA3&email=Nlw1XM9Bwi5rAJMGRSeRh49nNPuw6lIV&relid=266BCD6C> 2 John Campbell Road, London, N16 4UJ, London, London E179SD, United Kingdom -- P2P Foundation: http://p2pfoundation.net - http://blog.p2pfoundation.net <http://lists.ourproject.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/p2p-foundation>Updates: http://twitter.com/mbauwens; http://www.facebook.com/mbauwens #82 on the (En)Rich list: http://enrichlist.org/the-complete-list/
