---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Brett Scott <[email protected]> Date: Mon, Aug 22, 2016 at 6:49 PM Subject: Preparing for the War on Cash To: [email protected] Dear Collaborators, Co-conspirators, Hackers and Friends Apologies for the generic group email, but I wanted to flag up a big essay I just published on the War on Cash, the dark side of 'cashless society' and why we might want to keep an eye on the rising power of digital payment systems http://thelongandshort.org/society/war-on-cash It was published in NESTA's Long + Short Magazine with some great illustrations from Scott Garrett, and has been extremely popular. The piece has received so much traffic that the website has been crashing - it was trending on the front page of Hacker News for a long time, as well as some big Reddit pages - but hopefully it's available right now. Please do check it out if you get a chance, and share with any colleagues or friends who may be interested Cheers!
