I'm sharing this with the mailing list, to see if any volunteer tech expert can be helpful here, Michel On Thu, Mar 6, 2014 at 3:18 PM, Time Initiative of Maine (T.I.ME) < [email protected]> wrote:
Unfortunately I'm not a tech expert either. We might be stabbing in the dark together! Do you think any of your contributors could answer some of the technical questions?

thanks for the connection, that letter was sent quite a while ago and I had forgotten about it and was not contacted since. Would a skype be useful ? I'm not a tech expert, but a wiki works very well for these kinds of living despositories.

Hi Michel, I"m contacting you in reference to your conversation with Stephanie Rearick and our plans to compile a repository of time banking knowledge and sharing resources, Email below, but we have many questions as we look at tools. We have a question about cloning existing collections and how to duplicate pools of docs and info to be added to P2P, questions about forming a curriculum for a course, and a message from Stephanie that I'm helping to answer. If you have been contacted by anyone else in the Knit-A-Network, don't feel you have to repeat your answers. Stephanie asked: "Is there a way for someone to upload a doc and have it be the reference doc, then people take it, change it, and upload the revision in a thread that still keeps and shows the reference doc? and are there peer comment and rating systems?"
If those things are present and it's not super hard to use it might be just the ticket! Thanks for any input you may have at this time, Stacey Jacobsohn ========================================== *From: *Michel Bauwens <[email protected]> *Date: *July 18, 2013 6:37:00 AM CDT *To: *Stephanie Rearick <[email protected]> *Cc: *Ruby van der Wekken <[email protected]> *Subject: **possible synergy between timeftw and p2p-f*
Dear Stephanie,
(have not read your reply yet to my contributoin to the collective email of this morning)
I wasn't aware of your group's ambitious efforts to develop a vision, guidelines, platform and toolkit for an integrated cooperative economy, a goal which is very congruent with the p2p-foundation's work.
I wouldn't want to presume that I know how to do this, but we have collated a great number of resources that I think you could draw on, but I also think our wiki research project could benefit from yours.
This is what i see as an ideal solution: your team would use the p2p-wikki for the rough and tumble primary wiki-sation of all the documentation needed to bring about what you are aiming for; this would enrich the already existing collection of 20k articles (reaching 22m views); at the same time, you would learn about what we already have, and both the existing base and the newly uncovered initiatives by you would then be the raw material for secondary and much more user-friendly elaboration in your own platform ..
I hope you'll give it some thought,
I cc ruby, of the helsinki time bank, who knows our work and may vouch for us in case you have any doubts,
of course, this is just a suggestion, but I think the synergies would be remarkable,
Michel
