In their computer simulations of human evolution, scientists at ETH Zurich find the emergence of the “homo socialis” with “other-regarding” preferences. The results explain some intriguing findings in experimental economics and they call for a new economic theory of “networked minds”.**"* In this guest blog article, we take a look at some fascinating research conducted at ETH Zurich by Thomas Grund, Christian Waloszek, and Dirk Helbing. I have called the article "The Emergence of Niceness" because this is essentially what their computer models have illustrated. The implications are significant e.g. economists will have to re-think their traditional assumption of selfishness and also how they think about rationality. http://www.synthesisips.net/blog/the-emergence-of-niceness/<http://synthesisips.us4.list-manage1.com/track/click?u=5c4cc0cbd91536cfdc1561804&id=6ad17c1954&e=5dae7162d8> Best wishes, Greg Fisher Managing Director Synthesis IPS Check out our website: www.synthesisips.net Join us on twitter: @synthesisips<http://synthesisips.us4.list-manage1.com/track/click?u=5c4cc0cbd91536cfdc1561804&id=7071b1a492&e=5dae7162d8> p.s. if you would like to remain on our contacts database but would prefer to unsubscribe from blog notifications, you can do this by updating your profile here<http://synthesisips.us4.list-manage.com/profile?u=5c4cc0cbd91536cfdc1561804&id=6c5a6cfdf2&e=5dae7162d8> . --------------------------- Unsubscribe<http://synthesisips.us4.list-manage.com/unsubscribe?u=5c4cc0cbd91536cfdc1561804&id=6c5a6cfdf2&e=5dae7162d8&c=159e569417>me from Synthesis' contacts database.
