Hi Michel, 2011/9/26 Michel Bauwens <[email protected]>:
Dear Miguel,
this is a bit old, see http://p2pfoundation.net/Desperate_Generation_-_Portugal
I wonder if you don't have update links for a little report by yourself, or a 'storify' by our roving reporter Amaia?
Well, besides the links I sent to the list in March, I don't think there is much more that is really worthy of mention. On October 15 there will be another demonstration here in Lisbon which will happen simultaneously in several cities all over Europe and other parts of the world: http://www.15outubro.info/. BBC has recently published an article on the flee of young unemployed graduates from Portugal to Brazil and Angola: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-14716410 I'll add again here the links about last March's rally, just in case: Washington Post and Reuters' reports here: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2011/03/12/AR2011031202... http://www.hindustantimes.com/Massive-rallies-in-Portugal-as-more-austerity-... Spanish newspapers El País and El Mundo also mentioned the rally: http://www.elpais.com/articulo/internacional/Decenas/miles/portugueses/manif... http://www.elmundo.es/elmundo/2011/03/12/internacional/1299954717.html Some photos and videos: http://www.flickr.com/photos/bloco_de_esquerda/sets/72157626125803349/show/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q7PpsTOqYLA A report on the Portuguese educational system by the Wall Street Journal: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748704076804576180522989644198.ht... Financial Times: http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/95990eb8-4c09-11e0-82df-00144feab49a.html#axzz1GWp... Anyway, I will ask some friends over Facebook who are specifically researching and involved with this issue to provide some additional info for the entry in the P2P Foundation wiki. Best,
Michel
