Puede que yo me haya equivocado al anotar. Puedes comprobarlo tu haciendo un:
lspci -v
Lo revisas y comentas.

De cualquier modo voy a intentar esta tarde, si me dá tiempo, compilar el módulo ndiswrapper para alguno de esos kernels, por si no hay más remedio de meter el firmware privativo...
Si lo consigo te comento. Pero por favor intenta de ver exactamente el nombre del driver para asegurarnos su soporte.
