Well, as no one into Musix have firewire devices yet, we can't test them, but if you write here: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/jackit-devel they should know what to do, and you can help us to make firewire audio work into Musix. | Also strange when i use english dma on bootup it reports not able to find | knoppix image after it detects drives. Yes: that's strange, no one before had reported it. But, you are using Musix 1.0rc1? If so, it should work, because this problem used to appear when "nocache nopreload" was not pased as boot arguments (cheatcodes), but the "english" cheatcode has them: LABEL english KERNEL linux APPEND dma ramdisk_size=100000 init=/etc/init lang=en keyboard=us xkeyboard=us apm=power-off vga=791 initrd=minirt.gz nomce quiet nocache nopreload BOOT_IMAGE=knoppix alsa (this is into the isolinux.cfg file) | but with the xorg ........ lang=en cheatcode it boots up fine. Ok, well, thanks for the report... the xorgmusix cheatcode looks like this: LABEL xorgmusix KERNEL linux APPEND dma ramdisk_size=100000 init=/etc/init apm=power-off xorgmusix initrd=minirt.gz nomce quiet nocache nopreload BOOT_IMAGE=knoppix alsa | Am i supposed to do anything special to get firewire and freebob working? Well... as I said, I dont know, i will ask Musix's collaborators, but, it would be fine to ask here: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/jackit-devel | Thank You To you Regards, | _______________________________________________ | Musix GNU+Linux - www.musix.org.ar | Musix-users mailing list | [email protected] | https://lists.ourproject.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/musix-users -- Marcos Guglielmetti * Director del desarrollo de Musix GNU+Linux, 100% Software Libre * Colabora: http://www.musix.org.ar/wiki/index.php/Musix1.0tasks * CD Download: (http://www.musix.org.ar/en/) * Videos, programas, etc.: ftp://musix.ourproject.org/pub/musix/ * Reporte de errores: https://www.musix.org.ar/wiki/index.php?title=Problemas-Bugs *IRC: #musix channel on freenode * http://autosus.wordpress.com/ «No te tomes en serio nada que no te haga reír» [un amigo de E.
