Did I get it right: it worked when you burned it at work and booted at home, i.e., the problem at home was with burning, not booting? (Or it still only booted at work?) And do you have any clue what it is with your PC at home that causes the problem? My setup is listed earlier in this thread - perhaps there is a common nominator with yours? The behaviour seems to be the same: md5 is ok, the CD file structure looks OK but it is just not recognized as a bootable CD when booting the computer. And it is only with Musix - other Live CD's work just fine. I am using Roxio Easy CD Creator v5.1 (old software but I have never had any problems with it before).
If booting the CD just does not work for me, is there any workaround, i.e., boot from floppy or HD (just remember that I can not boot the CD to create such floppies)?
Yes: I have no floppy here, I dont use them, but, it's possible, try using:
/KNOPPIX/utils/*
From: /KNOPPIX/knoppix-docs/KNOPPIX-FAQ-EN.txt
Thanks, I'll look into it.
