in this case I had a feature request in mind, indeed, but I just never got it done, and the psychological strain (just learned that this is English for "Leidensdruck") never got serious enough.
There are probably many things missing from evil, but until someone asks for them they won't be implemented. (At least for myself, I often do not even know some of the requested features ;))
